It was just based on the long stares ZYC would give the two of them every time WX xZYZ interact >< But honestly I do hope it's not a love triangle and ZYC has another love line since I am not a big fan of them...I am only on ep 6 so tho there was some teasing between ZYZ × ZYC I didn't consider the possibility of them becoming a thing >< From which ep was it mentioned? So the goddess (Wen Xiao's master) knew Zhu Yan for a long time and even gave him her dead brother's name and he was around while Wen Xiao was growing under her care as discipline...And based on those flashbacks all 3 seem close with deep bonds...And then when the goddess died everything fell apart and Zhu Yan left Wen Xiao (whose memories are partially lost) who went and worked for the demon-hunting bureau while searching for the Bai Ze token...There she met Yi Chen and they became close friends. Fast forward Zhu Yan appears again and is suspected to have killed members of the demon-hunting bureau (I think there is more to it and I won't believe he did it unless I see it...) and among them were the brother and father of Yi Chen . Now 10 years later he shows up again and asks for Yi Chen to end his life after they find the Baize token and solve the demon-human issues?? This is so so heartrending.....And the love triangle between Zhu Yan- Wen Xiao-Yi Chen is so so twisted TT

Nope haven't heard of it...I currently started Fangs of fortune (up to ep 4) and I am quite enjoying it~ Tho I believe this one might have a sad ending too...There is too much angst in the horizon it seems...I am not thrilled but I guess until Friday it should keep me entartainted!

Oh I agree with this as well! I just thought maybe you weren't aware of why they had to limit this to 40 eps...But yeah this regulation was certainly detrimental to this drama! Especially the wei family scenes and the couple scenes, we should have gotten more of them...

Sadly the new regulations make the 50 eps impossible to happen...With the current one you either fit everything in 40 eps or break it into 2 seasons to air seperately in a year...Like 40 eps pt1 + 20(or more) eps pt2...Like Lost you forever, Imortal Samsara etc. However I do agree that I would love to see more of their sweet scenes too..
The ratings are soo misleading- they REALLY shouldn't be that high. I'm literally forcing myself to continue watching…

This drama literally has one of the most detailed wedding scenes I have seen lol They included almost all the traditions and process....Tho I do admit with the wedding kiss...We did get 3 in this series and honestly in kdrama/cdrama when it comes to kiss scenes/bed scenes the results to expect have always been on the milder side! I do agree that LJX shouldn't have taken so much of the last ep and I would have liked if he was dealed with sooner but I guess we can't have it all >< To me his end was that of an obsessed fool who gave up on himself in the name of "love" (at least inside his head his feelings were that )

Idk personally I found it fitting....It's because of how obsessed he is with FL that he sees or considers nothing else but her...He is a mad dog with an incurrable obsession over FL...This was also what made him into a dumb fool when we know he had the wits (on the early part of the series) to fight against ML's mind games better... And his death its not that of a hero but a fool blinded by his obsession and "love".
Does it have a SE or HE? Also, how long will they be using the dramatic music effects and close-ups? They seem to be trying really hard to make a scene even darker than it is. Idk how exactly to explain it...Some scenes look "overdone" like they are trying to make us feel more about them, but personally that makes it duller for me TT
Okay those things aside...I love the core plot and enemies-to-lovers theme! And ofc I have watched both of the leads before so I know how good they can be!! I just hope the overall plot/script and directing won't disappoint me...
when do they acknowledge their feelings for each other? is there a last minute breakup or a last minute happy…
-They will officially acknowledge their feelings for one another after ep 31-32! However, there are instances of them falling for one another on earlier eps too!^^ -No there are no breakups between them! There is a happy ending and it's not last minute! -There is no miscommunication/misunderstanding between the leads! If anything they make a good team, working together as a duo to take down their enemies!
