Personally I haven't started KMLM since I prefer to watch 1 historical cdrama at a time so that I can focus on them but based on some fmvs and spoilers I have seen I think the reason might be that KMLM fits Netflix's "vibes" better? Since most netflix shows have that dark, mature and sexual tension to them idk...Or maybe Croton was not a fan of the idea (looking at how they didn't even partner with viki)

Oh! I didn't know that! I am glad to hear you say this! My observessions were based on MDL/YT/X mostly there you can't see much hype for TRON compared to the other on-going cdrama...So it got me feeling a bit :/ since I want this to do well both locally and internationally cause I think it really deserves it!
Btw now that this is finally reaching its big finale I hope more people will start tuning in and checking it out!! Cause it's so worth it!! It's also a bit odd for me to watch this happening on real-time cause on one hand this is doing very well locally in China rn being no.1 on Yunhe view chart since day 2 of broadcasting and hitting 28000 hit index...But then on the international side there is barely any noise or posts/edits about it...The watchers on MDL are also stuck at 5k for days while other currently airing cdrama have crossed 9-10k...So let's try and talk more about it on social media and get more ppl interested!! ><

Same here TT I am so sad...I wish we could get 10 more eps with just the leads and their babies, following their everyday lives, and ofc a follow-up on side-characters and how they are doing!! This drama was truly the dark horse of this era!! No one had many expectations from it initially but thanks to the brilliant casting, the chemi between the leads, the production team's efforts, and the nicely written script it became a great hit!!
Just saw the teasers for eps 36-37 and omg we are going on an intense ride y'all... My LSY having to go all anti-hero mode on to protect everyone and advance to win is so thrilling to watch yet heartbreaking TT Still, I believe that however misleading the teaser looked, YN knows of his true intentions and supports LSY behind the scenes >< They have been through so much stuff together all this time and with how highly intelligent the FL is, it would be truly dumb if she actually fell for it lol
However, the one who seems to have certainly fallen for it and given up himself to his delusions is LJX haha Maybe he thought LSY was someone like him who cares about power & selfish intentions above all...Or wished to delude himself into believing it so that he would stand a better chance at winning back his "meimei" LMAO

Based on novels I have read Tongfangs are not the usual maids like those working for the house...Back then for the young masters of prominent houses, there were "bed chamber" maids (they weren't married to them or held a rank, but would be a sort of sex education for the young men, before they had to marry a main wife/concubines...) However, more often than not they would be given medicine to prevent offsprings...So idk how Ting was conceived or what position exactly his mother had in this particular novel ><
