Based on novel spoilers and timelines...SML should be in his late 20s (28-29?) while the ML should be arounf 19-20 i think...I am honestly glad they made FL around 16-17 cause in the novel she seems to have been 14 around the current timeline which is even more insane tho undertandable for that era since by 16 most girls were already if not married already engaged TT

FL's mother was not kidnapped and raped by bandits...That's just what her maid thought...But actually those who abducted her were soldiers of the Duke cause he was injured and they were looking for a woman to treat him...And FL's mother at the time was leaving in the side house which was near there...While treating the Duke he drank deer blood which has aphrodisiac properties and led to him sleeping with her mother(idk if she was forced or not though)
