Well sure I would route for that too...But just the addition of a straight couple won't make me hate the show or not watch it...In the end all that matters to me is that they deliver the bl couple's storyline well!! Other than that if some of you mind the staight couple scenes that much skip it....
Sure it has its flaws but the emotional roller coaster of emotions and the final mins of the last ep got me bawling like a baby!! I am so satisfied with this tho I do wish we could see a bit more of their "happy ending"><

They won't...This is confirmed to be BL with Jiho x Sangjun as the main couple!! The only change we know of so far is that they added a secondary straight love line between their friends played by doyeon x junyoung!!
Okay coming from twitter & I think some are so far too negative...And tho the poster could have been better I don't get the hate this drama faces before even airing... Personally, it's been years since I read the manhwa but as far as I can remember the "straight couple" added, aren't made up but existing characters/ friends of the BL couple just without the love line between them. However, if that can help the production team secure longer air time & airing on big platforms like NETFLIX/TVN I don't see the issue of adding it...OFC as long as no cuts are made to the BL storyline and they can air all their important scenes!! And for the poster issue....2/3 are our BL couple, it's just that they put the female/het couple in the middle of it...This used to be one of my fave Manhwa so for now I just want to remain positive & hopeful!! As long as they can retain the essence of the book I don't mind a few additions here & there...Also If some of you hate the het couple so much you can just skip their scenes I guess...
Seeing that the straight invented couple occupies 2/3 of the poster while the two already existing main characters…
It's the other way around....2/3 show our BL main couple at the very top & bottom, focusing on each ones face while looking at the other out of focus....It's just that they put the female main character(1/3 of the poster) in the middle of the post hence many seem annoyed by it!
Up to ep3 and I am thoroughly enjoying this!! But with the speed things are & 16 eps, it makes me a bit worried about having unnecessary fillers... So can any novel reader answer some things for me? 1. Is the adaptation following the novel well? 2. Based on the novel & length of the series...Can we expect to see their life as a married couple on the latest eps?

I think you need to re-check the term of the word hun^^ You and your friend fit the term way better...If I don't like smth or have a critisism about a series I say it once and go...Unlike you who keep coming back daily to leave the same negative comments over & over again!! That's what you usually call unhealthy obsession!! My reason to come to the replies is to disscus the series, spoilers, upcoming eps & help new people who are interest in it! Fr!! Ever since this starting airing they have been coming back daily, to share the same negative opinions again & again!! All the while trying to find other new people like them to trash talk the show together...I mean saying it once and moving on would be the healthy thing to do but alas....
It was disappoiting compared to my expectations since it was from orginal creator of global examination and screenwriter…
The novel is definitely not the issue...This is one of the greatest coming of age / youth novels!! With multiple layers & touching deep into the soul...Tho to some the 1st half could be "boring" if they are only used to drama & action...

Just a correction :The cfans are not hating on it "for changing the setting to Taiwan" but because the script has made some serious changes with the og novel characters personality traits, especially Tian's! And also some think the actors look too old for high school theme drama and their image doesn't fit that of the characters described in it! Personally I have no issue with the 2nd one, as long as the actors can act it's okay by me! But i can't blame them for being upset with the script changes...Still I do agree that straight up hating on it, it's too much esp when only 2 eps are out!
I don't think they'll follow the novel fully, they already don't follow the novel especially with with these 2…
Yes they will and you can see a young boy opening the bedroom door on that same trailer...I mean this is a core part...So ofc they couldn't take it out...It's just that Tian thanks to that incident was supposed to act cold & distant with Wang even if there were sparkles between them...The novel ver. was so logical & natural with their friendship blossoming into love and Tian overcoming his trauma...Yet in the series adaptation, his character is inconsistent!! In the novel it took around 60 chapters for them to kiss yet here they have already kissed twice...Idk if they did it for fanservice but it certainly backfired for the novel readers...Personally, as it's been years since i read it, i am not as upset but i can def get them...

Jiang Tian's dad is gay, and back then he got married to Jiang Tian's mom while being in the closet and ended up having a secret affair with his long time friend....And to add to that, it was Jiang Tian who caught them doing the deed...That's what makes it disgusting to him & has inner turmoil with his own feelings for wang. That's also why his mom will be VERY much against their relationship...Also after their parents' separation, his mom was also not around & for a time he stayed with his grandparents...So that scene with Tian carrying the suitcase hits deep!!
