Btw something that has come to my attention...Has any of you noticed that the ML used to call her seventh sister at first, but after ep 8-9, he started calling her Yining!!!??? >< It's such a subtle change but I would still praise the script writer for it ><

I don't think so...Personally, I think it's the other way around. She is mistakenly trying to suppress her feelings/be oblivious about them under "brother-sister" relationship. She and he grew up separately and only got to meet each other as teens, and what drew them to get close was their similar situation (of being shunned by their father tho FL still had the grandma) and as a way to help each other survive in the luo household...Also, Ning has started to show some changes since ep 11-12 basically, ever since they have started to truly open up to one another and I believe right now she is mistaking her feelings and "covering" them unconsciously under the "cherished brother zone" tag. Idk I think they are doing pretty well with the script and the shift will work out ><

About point 4. since reicarbation topic is currently banned on cdrama i suppose the flashbacks/dreams she saw in the series could be actual memories from her current life as Ning from the time she was leaving in the countryside (as minor change from the novel...)

According to novel spoilers i have found:
1. Luo Yi Ning is not related to the Luo family! Her bio father is a duke(in the novel) and on ep 8 of drama they mentioned her mother was abducted from bandits and got pregnant (maybe changed the plot a bit but still not related to luo family)

2. Idk who killed her mother still...But I bet it would be somehow involved with the luo family...

3. Yes Luo Shen Yuan is really related to the luo family!

4. In the novel the FL is currently living her 2nd life as Ning! On her 1st life she was related to Lu Jia Xue but was betrayed by him (or so she believes?) and died a tragic death...So now that she got back on time and on Ning's body she is getting those dreams/flashbacks of their time spent together in the past....And he has also started to notice some similarities between the 2...He seems to be obsessed with her past self....still searching for her after years...

With that being said....I don't hate the actor playing the 2nd ml tho...If anything he is doing too nice of a job being the villain lol

The 2nd ML keeps giving me the ick whenever he shows up!! In the last few episodes, all I can feel for him is a great feeling of uneasiness and disgust. He is such a walking red flag. I really wish we would see less of him, even though I know he is essential to the plot. Ugh.
That aside, today's ep has to be the sweetest after ep11!! I am so excited for their budding romance that's about to blossom!! I just know in the next few eps the truth will be fully out ><

Because begining is like The double, Story of Minglan and a whole another bunch of cnovels...Loving grandmother, stupid father with a framing concubine by his side...

Oh you might be right...I don't check them often while the shows are airing but I looked at a recent cdrama (like 2-3 months ago) I watched this year and they had 20-30k watchers on MLD which made me a bit anxious...But ofc this is still airing so it definitely has the potential to reach these numbers by completion and since u say that the results are actually better than average I am releived! ^^

Omg thank you! >< I did check some rankings on Twitter and it showed the drama at 1 or 2 but since I don't know the significance of these ranking or couldn't translate some I was left guessing... I am glad that it's gaining attention locally since the international responce seems to be mid....Even tho personally I have been enjoying it so far~^^

By the way guys, this seems to not be gaining as much attention here or on Twitter, and it's quite sad since it's a nice drama to watch! Either way, what I am most curious about is how it is doing locally. Can someone who knows, let me know?

Whoa....Then I am glad the drama adaptation has changed few things...If anything I think so far it has been balancing things well between novel & drama script (from what i've seen from novel spoilers)! I like that they kept the core story but made appropriate changes to make the overal plot more likable & acceptable^^

Hm...Personally I have only watched only one i think of his other works called "Are you the one" and i didn't find any issues with his acting there...However I do think character wise I like him in The Rise of Ning more since he is more likable here with less twists between the leads relationship! ^^

I am up to ep 11 rn and omg this episode was so so sweet ><
Especially now that ML knows they are not related, he was so fidgety while Ning is still oblivious hahaha He is definitely the one who fell first....and harder too ><
Also, I was not expecting them to wrap up things so soon with the Concubine but it was a pleasant surprise since this makes the plot not dragging!! This is one of these series that keeps getting better & better as time goes by~
I really hope more people would tune in and give it a try!! It might be slow burn on the romance but it's still very sweet and the overall plot moves fast & neatly!! I am also enjoying the revenge aspect of it, it's very satisfying!!

they are not related with one another! And ML will learn about it around 8-9 ep!! Rise of ning is quite promising honestly even with the plot not being "unique" i am still enjoying it so far^^

9 eps in and I am loving this already!! I cannot wait for the rest to come out since this seems to have only been the opening so far, to warm us up for what's coming...The plot is thickening & I can already sense the seed of love being planted in their hearts ><
I cannot wait for the blossoming romance that awaits us and ofc for the Main Leads successful revenge on the many evil doers!! ^^

The novel this series is based on is similar to The Spirealm/Kaleidoscope of Death!!
As someone who has read the manhua & binged the novel "Global University Entrance Examination" can be a great hit!! As long as they cast well & get a production as big as The Spirealm this could become the next big hit of this genre!! ><
But seeing how The Spirealm was uploaded fully & taken down hours later...Chinese gov won't easily give them that broadcast license...Maybe the only way is if the follow the same method...
So many great CBL adaptations are currently catching dust on the shelves waiting to see the day of light...It's unfortunate to witness!! And year after year they keep making the rules more strict too :(

Α strong start, that manages to leave a good first impression, that captures the audience with its unique plot and good writing, BUT unfortunately fails with its inconsistency and slowly starts losing its charm in the 2nd half... After the middle episodes, especially after the time skip started, the plot loses track and becomes unreasonable, with quite lot of filler scenes...It almost makes me think a different director & scriptwriter took over...The execution failed miserably and some parts almost felt out of character. The editing also felt more choppy and jumpy...However, one thing I did like was that they didn't end this right after the marriage like most cdrama and we got to see them as a married couple and a scene with their kid too...If I were to rate this based on the first half I could easily go with a 9 but after completing this, this is worth 7.5-8 at most...It had the potential but it was sadly not properly dealt with to the end!
