I have watched the prequel and I had read the book

Also OnO is great, there was no skinship, but it is still the best story ever, because it’s the love story of two people who couldn’t be together. FnE is based on the book that show these skinships is how their love grow, they didn’t change the story, so expecting the skinship is not wrong.

I think you mistake the obsession with skinship as the usual fast pace romance drama you referred to. Many people were fine with the slow burn at the start, the novel was that way. But also in the novel, part of their growth in their love for each other is through their skinship, which totally got cut to the bone here. I don’t ask for much, 3 kisses are all I asked: first kiss (kinda check - I’ll give it a pass), 2nd kiss (show he cares and wants to be better for her but still restraint toward her), and 3rd when he let it all goes and completely be hers. 2nd and 3rd didn’t happen. I don’t feel the growth in their love, we already know how sweet he can be (all these little gifts and gestures), but being a man wise, well >_> anyway, imma just call a spade a spade

You just slept with your wife, holding hands aren’t out there 🤦‍♀️ Also what is with her writing about Junior Nancheng king? The drama that she dubbed for show he’s a great person, what else can she add to that? I’m like totally confused about this subplot

Haha yea. I have never seen a drama of him, I agree he’s a good actor, but if I want to watch a romantic drama, I’ll not watch it with him in it unless it’s a period drama where I know there is no need for kissing scenes lol

Sorry, if you read my other comments, you will understand I’ll still enjoy this drama and watch until the end, but I was also disappointed (explained also in those comments). Sorry lol

Lol, as I mentioned a few times before, the novel was incredibly sexually frustrated for me, too. How the guy kept having her Hang dry out there. But then it paid off when he finally stepped up. Whereas we don’t get to see his step up here and that’s what slightly disappoint me. I still smile watching them together, I pity shiyi everytime her hope was up about their time together but then didn’t happen, then smile again when they are in bed together and sharing sweet scenes together. But it could never reach another level when the intimate is lacking 😞 I can’t say I will squeal over their “kiss” lol. Just like I can’t squeal when I see the bird scenes in the long ballad lol

But when you know the story could be better, if you go read the book, you will understand why I want more. I started this for Bai Lu, and I’m staying for Bai lu and Allen but that doesn’t mean I’m happy 100% about the drama. A lot of us had made peace about the fact that Allen is the ML in a drama of a novel with quite a few hot scenes, but we still want to vent because the BTS Iqiyi release try to make us think they kiss, when we have zero solid proof lol. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I even care about it but I want them to not showing the shadow kiss for their bed scene lol. Like if you are intending to fool me, go all the way lol, do more than just 1 kiss

Unless you can show me the bts of them actually kissing, like the long kiss of those half face, and not the boys where it just show she go in for a peck on the lips, then cut to them watching their kiss and tried to act awkward, then I reserve my doubt. Lol at you using the word “fake news”, I have been raising my doubt because half face and you can’t tell whether the face is truly his, and he is notorious to use those shots to cover the fact that he doesn’t do kiss scenes. Watch glory of the tang, ep16, google on YouTube, you can see there is no half face, and that’s a real kiss

Lol, I don’t hate his wife. I’m in an odd position, I can’t see another person play ZSC but at the same time, I wish someone could lol

In the book, they were supposed to get closer with each and the fact that they spent several night together on the same bed is like the next step of their relationship, plus there is supposed to be a kiss scene (in the book), but we didn’t get it in the drama so it’s slightly pointless like you said lol

The funny thing is because the prequel was so good, I knew the sequel will kinda disappoint me/won’t be able to live up to its prequel, and yet somehow I was still feeling disappointed, I guess I was hoping the actor knows how good of a script this is and say good bye to his stupid clause, but nope 😞

I think part of it is the actor don’t do intimate scenes. And because of losing out those scenes, we will never get to see the ZSC trying to be better at kissing (they meant to have a kiss in Bremen), after his lousy first kiss 🤣 then wanting but able to stop himself at Bremen, and finally took the initiative after the rain
