in the end of the days, ppl watch what ppl want to watch lol. this drama, should not beat the idol dramas. it does not focus on the love story, it focuses on 6 families and their struggles, and man, being poor sucks! no one likes to watch these kind of depressions lol. ppl like to feel fluffy, looking at gorgeous filtered face in pristine, no crinkled clothes with perfect hairstyle lol.

what important is we just enjoy the drama, and worry less about the rating, number of ppl watching, or what ppl thinks. just appreciate the drama, the cast’ efforts and have great healthy discussion about the drama in this space 🙂

in most drama that requires hair change, it seem to be the case, though I don’t know. the longer hair version isn’t a wig, if anything, hair extensions. though it looks like BL’s normal hair, so maybe it was filmed first 🤷‍♀️

there are family drama in Korea that lasted 50+eps LOL! also shorter stories after a while will get predictable n boring, trust me, I’ve been through that. I grew up watching TVB series, which is basically 20eps, 45mins each, after 5 years, you literally see it all! so while the stories are good, acting still good, you know which ep will be the turning point, which episode will be the big climb to the finishing line. after a while, you lost the excitement to watch it. cdrama can’t do season, they kinda don’t know how, and the western seasons are now also hitting a wall, where they don’t want the story to end, n that also bad for the story.initially I also don’t like cdrama because it was very drawn out, however, if you be selective about it, you will see some of them actually needs that many episodes n more to deliver the story. actually having a cap at 40 is rather terrible, because again, it restricts how the story can be told. there are certain drama that I agree needs the restrictions, but I think that should be done at the script level censoring, so that we don’t have second pair taking up space and be a nuisance in the drama (AOL and TMOPB, PA, n whatever ZLY was in prior to ShenLi). I love TMOPB but man, I only watch like 1/3 of it lol (a lot of FF 😒), n PA - I felt super betrayed by it! (ultimately sit through 60+eps for very little CP/romance time, and it ended like that! 🤯🤬)
