that song is very nice, I love the way it sang/arranged. especially the bit where ARP’s voice is singing with her, rather than the other type of duet format, where they were racing together to build up momentum/tension to reach that peak. this one is just one voice pushing the other voice “higher”, like a pair working together to reach higher peak!

Uhm, I’m in Australia so no real celebration. especially when the kid’s first day of school is also CNYE 🙄 super hectic! I managed to make a nice seafood dinner, n that’s about it! though the kids barely eat the seafood! but not too worry, more for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 other than that, I just made the traditional Vietnamese new year cake, Bánh Trưng, n call it a year like every year 😅

lol, I enjoyed parts of L&D, but there were so many draggy bits, I FF basically the second leads I think. if it wasn’t for NiNi’s stunning acting n the ML actor, I would drop it lol. with xianxia, I think just watch if your favourite is in it, otherwise, low expectations will go a long way 🤣

lol, just had a quick check: so his most famous one would be Ashes of love (I didn’t like it, but many do 🤷‍♀️). actually on his list, there were quite a few I like! anyway, hf

TMOPB = ten miles of peach blossom lol. I could be wrong but if you click on the director’s name, it should list all his other works. the one that were decent from him: story of Kunning palace (with BL), starry love, the long ballad (I think these three are the best out of his work beside MM, I could be wrong though)

n yes, I’m still watching clips of them kissing n their moments together! n it’s hard to do rewatch, because I want to properly rewatch it but I have no time! the last month was a lot of lack of sleep to be able to watch it live lol!

I guess even though it’s S+, but it doesn’t mean it’ll have the same budget as other S+. ultimately, it’s the director’s choice. and even though he’s seem old enough to have it all figure out, I feel he’s into experimenting stuffs. like the spinning camera lol, in starry love, it was weird spinning, then it toned down in SOKP, n in here, it’s the 3D spinning when they fall down the resentment realm.

haha, back in the old day, hk drama also doesn’t have a lot of ppl. cdrama beat it because they can fill the room with more ppl, but then, it kinda distracting. the screen has become so busy, n the focus is somewhat lost. and if you think about it, when a bunch of ceo go to the meeting, they don’t bring a whole company!

lol, while I understand why ppl feel it tacky, it’s what old style xianxia used to be like. one thing I noticed about this director is he loves to bring the old “hk cinema/chinese drama” of the 90s back. if you see the 1986 journey to the west, every character has their own colour palette, every set has its own theme, outrageous and somewhat tacky, but you know where you are. ever since TMOPB, the aesthetics has gone kinda Hollywood way, minimalism with pale colour, n every place look practically the same.
and like FY said: BS’s style is a lot more flamboyant even for him! (she dressed him up for their proposal) and her dresses are FY’s way of expressing his love, he wants to show off how beautiful she is n him being quite flamboyant, that’s why she’s also styled in such a way. (context: BS’s styling and dress are provided by FY, it was in BL’s interview)

ppl want to see angsty kiss lol 🤣 more fire more passionate! but trust me, if they think this is too friendly, they should have seen FnE lol! 🤣 I love n kinda frustrated by the friendliness of that series 😅though I disagree that this is “friend-like”, friend don’t kiss like that 🫣🤣

meh, it’s one of those times where u r probably burn out. take a break, watch kdrama, Thai/Filipino/indian/hollywood, or just nothing lol. sometimes, you are just not in the mood for this genre, or this style of drama. like I like kdrama, in small doses!

Uhm, can’t say much about ARP series as I don’t follow him. but BL’s new drama with Zheng shun Xi looks angsty. and while some costumes look 👀 (in a not good sense), and it’s produced by Yu Zheng (!), I’ll keep my expectations lol (due to that dude can F up catastrophically lol), but the emotions n what not between the two leads seem solid! (or at least, for some reasons, the guys act so well with her, then not great in other projects 🤷‍♀️), so I’ll be checking that one out for sure!

Uhm, I’ve seen DW in miss the dragon, n I love him so much in there. after that, he hasn’t impressed me, so a bit worry about his acting. don’t know the FL actress, all in all, one of those you just have to watch n see n keep the expectation to bare minimum lol
