I think we (QY and XZ and SL) think he made the right choice, because they don’t know the soul swap.
I think it’s much simple than what you gave. In the first life, has he let his wife die, and treasure the one in front of him, he would pick the right one. In the second life, while the girl look like XH, seemingly care for him, she also displays liking to other suitors, so she was not that strongly in love with him. She also was not overly hurt when he was caring for the other girl. While the other girl, very much like XH, will go along with his decision without much resistance. Again pointing out he was picking the wrong choice again in second life. The wisdom that XZ gave him is for me just a stronger gut feeling, I don’t think he knows for sure. His crying at the end feel more like it came out without he’s knowing why

My take is: for us the audience, the snake was the right choice because she has the face, and he also seems to love her. Unlike the other girl, who has his wife’s face, and he’s in debt to, but no real romantic feeling, she seems to be the wrong choice. However, at the end, it shows she has the lotus tattoo, that’s the plot twist, she’s the reincarnation of XH.
The main question now is did he do this on purpose or he’s once again miss her.

I’m with you on this. He missed XH in the first life we observed. And missed her again in the second life because of her face swap/soul transfer.
In the first life, he picked the one who he’s in debted to and not the one who he loves. In the second life, he picked the one who he grows up with and love all his life, and not the one who he’s in debted to. Keep switching and dude will always lose 🤣 sometimes the seemingly a right choice might not be right at all. And fate is cruel

Nah, I’m pretty sure XH, the lotus, was the one he keeps missing each time. He missed her the first time when she was a lotus. Second life, she’s now swapped body with his wife, but still has the lotus symbol.
XZ awoke his ancient god for a brief moment, but he doesn’t remember. What he has left is a stronger gut feeling. However, due to the face swap, he still picks the wrong choice. Showing the natural law is one hand above everyone. Even XZ said he couldn’t help, and possibly not really helping.

No, don’t watch it is my recommendation lol. I love AND hate it so much lol. I love the first part where they were together, and the push and pull after while they were apart. However, the second part was very little. Huge amount of fillers for the princess, like they totally could cut lot of the princess part down and we would have got a finished drama rather than half a book. 😒 true to be told, I’m slightly dislike ZLY, because most of her drama after PA has been full of fillers. But PA has tainted my view so much, I can’t watch ZLY in any drama that has massive amount of fillers lol. Or episode counts, 68ep was PA. I wasted so much time on that drama, and I got that kinda ending, I was so angry lol 🤣
I’m enjoying this drama very much. So if you love ZLY, you can watch the first part of PA, then stop when she left LGX’s side

Mature boys are so smouldering sexy! Mark chao was so sexy! Chang Chen, oh man, my first time seeing him in L&Destiny, and I love him! His rugged look goes so well with NiNi’s delicate look!

This standard ethereal look does not exist any more lol. Like seriously, here are the reasons:
1 - photoshopped photos/noises from media/cnets: a poster would get released (obviously got photoshopped), the fan club - look like goddess! Put shame and hate into any one else that is also in goddess roles and call that person commoner 😒
2 - all the one that was classed as goddess was in classic dramas, that hit everyone in the left field, couldn’t be recreated, and therefore forever cement them as goddess. For example: journey to the east (Singaporean version), the little flower fairy was the epitome of goddess (I agree she was so beautiful and I love her back then), but next to her was another goddess that look very commercial, but no one berated her 😒 in the same drama! Public like to just pick and choose. Even LYF, the most fairy of them all, only fairy when young, no longer fairy in the movie version of TMOPB 😒
3 - when the drama comes out, the acting and actual look was so much in stark contrast to the original marketing material that they are not seen as goddess nor having that ethereal feeling!
4 - because of all those above points, they think skinny and young are what make ppl look ethereal 🙄 lawl.
Ethereal should be first the look, not by being skinny, or young, but being striking, present, charming. Someone whose look grab your attention. And then when they speak, and they act, it put further holds on your attention and focus. And LGX does these well. By just strolling ever so slowly, he’s already standing out 🤣🤣🤣
