I did same thing and bought the express and then immediately kicked myself because I got the immediate gratification of two more episodes and now I'm back again to waiting 😭

Why the HECK did he randomly go blind? He was fine one moment, went to fight the not-zombies, covered his eyes and started figjting... By the END of the fight his eyes were bleeding? I was SO confused and rewound it multiple times to try and figure it out before throwing up my hands and giving up. 🤡😅

At this point I TRULY don't know why I keep torturing myself with Li Jiu Lin minis. This one AT LEAST had the Star Sect guy and he's not even credited anywhere to follow him. 😭

You saved yourself SOOOO much dropping Antidote 🤣. I was literally just asked about an hour ago if I was watching Revenged Love. I'm not a big BL fan but mostly because a lot are Thai and dont care for their stories. Figured I'd try this one once a few more episodes are out. I'm also feeling a bit burned out and am turning to vertical dramas lately. "Engaged for ten years, dumped - she marries his brother!" (it's his 5 years older uncle not brother 🤡) was actually REALLY good and wholesome.

I've been having a LOT of issues with watching things lately 😅 - this one seems to be in the "okay" category for me right now and it's a slightly different genre so Im hoping I can stick with it.
I'm about to finish hate watching Antidote to Love tonight; The Fallen Lady Returns is good addictive trash so far with (gasp) no red flag. Destiny of Love is a "I'm bored" watch 🤡 it's very dumb. I officially gave up on Litchee Road and Passionately in Love also since even the thought of going back to watch an episode "eventually" made my head hurt 🤣.

Okay I'm going to have to see this last episode played out but because I stupidly thought it was over and watched the last few episodes to see ep 24 still locked 🙄. Figured there was no way this was going to wrap even a quarter "nice" since literally the only thing I was watching it for ended up being Star Sect Guy 😅🤡.

I agree with you, it's not new in any way but it's fast paced and keeps moving. Since it's not even 24 episodes and they come out to less than 11 each without the credits the entire show will be strung together at slightly more than 3.5 hours. Definitely making this another "vertical shot horizontal" show similar to the FLs first "mini" as FL, The Silent Wife.

It is absolutely frustrating. At least they "occasionally" update the New Release on the main page but if you look at the "New" Releases under the Short Stories tab in the app you're seeing Coming for You, Desert Whisperers, and Beloved of A Lifetime which all came out last year 🤡

It appears at launch it was released without even machine subs but it's possible they will add them within a day. This happened Adventure for Love and it took about 18 hours but they added decent enough machine subs.

The little girl is ADORABLE but the logic is beyond not there for even many verticals 😅.

This was fun, I liked the music... but the acting was not for me. Seen one harem, you've basically seen this one.

This one was filmed last May and came out after a year and there's nothing about the sequel "yet" so... at LEAST another year, maybe 2.

I agree with most of your review (you even rated it higher than I did). But one thing I would like to point out is that the show technically didn't lose its focus. They didn't use the Tenecent synopsis for whatever reason but on there it clearly lists that they will solve the "Phoenix Murders" and the "Puppet Brides" cases. Both cases gave clues to the over-arching mystery of the past event.

Sat here and binged all 15 episodes out (not express 😅) and while I don't want my non-existent money back I WAS spending 50% of the time mentally comparing it to Please Remember Me... and 50% of the time waiting for when the next time Mr. Star Sect Chief would be on screen...

🤣 I'm still rooting for the maid though that's doubtful. She's still the only one that believes on him without questioning.

Finally finished it and overall I liked it. The show definitely has more in-depth Palace Politics than the cutsey-ness and pastel color pallette would normally be showing in a similar drama but I didn't find it bad personally. From the comments I've read that some people got annoyed with the FL but while I didn't find her annoying I "did" feel that she "grew up" in the 2nd half compared to the 1st half. Willing to talk more and not just flounce around like the teenager she is making assumptions without asking (not that HE didn't give her multiple times where he could have said something to her to stop a misunderstanding and didn't 😅🤣)

His purpose isn't actually to "be" a triangle but more that it is a side effect of the plot and it's one-sided on his side. I thought it flowed okay though I honestly would have preferred that section actually be LONGER as it seemed very abbreviated and over and done and moving on 😅. He's not exactly pursuing the FL in a traditional sense, it's more than the plot has them together and he begins to admire her and then MORE as the plotline develops. He's not in too many scenes.
