oh no! I just started! so it doesn't get any better?
You have A LOT more patience than I do. I tried once to do a line by line for a 45 min drug trafficking show I wanted to watch that was TRULY unintelligible (like not even the names I felt like it was Mangotv) but they never even changed the ones I made let alone taking the hint to translate more ๐ฎโ๐จ
oh no! I just started! so it doesn't get any better?
I've started getting used to it but an example: Once it - flow into your body, - the poison will slowly - into your body - until your organs - and died suddenly.
I stopped at 32Iโll wait for the drama to end before finishing itMy heart canโt handle too much ๐ฅฒ
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I find this funny cause I just finished binging and after 32 I was like "I can just NOT watch 33 right? I can cover my eyes and it'll be fine?"
Well that's disappointing ๐ซ I've been waiting for a few years now, maybe we are lucky and they are good subs…
That would be nice but someone said they have only been changing them if a bunch of people make requests for revisions ๐คก that's A LOT of effort ๐ .
I'm on ep 5 now though and it's actually "mostly" understandable if you can get over lost words or repeated lines. So far haven't really had a "lot" of "that makes absolutely zero sense" subtitles so perhaps I was just annoyed and being dramatic.
What do you mean they weren't punished? Their lovers LITERALLY killed them when they found out what they had done…
I was watching this with someone and we BOTH agreed that the Consort/Prince death was absolutely going to be hushed up and NEVER spoken of again. There's absolutely zero way a ruler would allow it to be known that his son killed his "mother" (let's forget that THAT whole conversation between them was a shocker to ME at least because I knew it was taboo but I didnt know just HOW tabboo they were going with it...) then himself after she'd caused a major plague that killed a lot of people.
What do you mean they weren't punished? Their lovers LITERALLY killed them when they found out what they had done…
Fair assessment on the romance if what you watch for as romance is physical intimacy (not a knock I'm being serious). I'm personally one that doesn't watch my shows FOR physical intimacy as how to show romance but I also DO appreciate it ๐ . Honestly though, while part of me is sad they didn't show kids in the very end I'm actually also glad.
It had already set a precedent that he was willing to go against society by saying she would be his ONLY wife. So what would happen if she ended up unable to have children as a lot of females are? I think they would ABSOLUTELY still be together. However, if they DID have kids I am torn on it being a 50/50 on whether the children grow up loving them or HATING them because either they become doting parents with possibly spoiled children, or they neglect the kids because they are SO in love with each other.
So if anyone is wondering the title "DOES" make sense it's just a bad translation ๐คฃ Even if you take the official Mandarin and auto-translate it you'll get "Wealth is Extreme" or "Wealth is Too Much". That's because apparently it uses an idiom: "to gain wealth and power when one does not deliberately seek them" in addition to the words meaning "Very", "Exteme", "Too Much". I found this title fascinating to look at because of this and because the odd translation was so Eye Catching. Probably wouldn't have clicked if it had read "I Didn't Want Wealth and Power But Gained A Lot Of It Anyway" ๐คฃ
did the king ever agree to this engagement. or they just gonna do what they wanna do? ๐
Oh he agreed. You may have missed it but it was during one of the dad/Emperor chess matches where they were doing a LOT of double talk. The scene ended with the Emperor basically thinking "okay so now we wait and I keep putting up a show of resistance for a little bit before giving in"
What do you mean they weren't punished? Their lovers LITERALLY killed them when they found out what they had done…
So I get what you mean. I truly do because I also wanted to see the leads have a hand in the dealing out of the punishment...
But at the same time the story itself wasn't going to allow them to live to a ripe old age, they would have died...
By that I mean take the Consort, the ML was all "you shouldn't have killed her, it should have been taken up with the courts"... but the courts would have probably still killed her for all the deaths she caused. Or the ML would have had someone kill her in the middle of the night in her cell if she were locked away for "life".
As for the 3rd Prince, he was sentenced to exile as a Commoner but the ML was NOT going to have that either. So if he "had" made it through the exile process and all the way to the borderlands as an exile he ABSOLUTELY would have been killed by a bandit or something. This is just who the ML is and how he handles things. He doesn't keep people alive unless the FL wants to be cruel to them herself.
did they really spend more than have the time on irrelevant people in the last episode. like wasn't she banished?…
THAT part was a plot hole yes ๐ But as for the scene as a whole it was more a wrap-up and contrast. The Prince was going to be banished since he wasn't allowed to be "fully" punished by our ML. But like the other Prince love story with the Consort, the lover couldn't handle the truth of what he truly was like and what he REALLY thought. So she killed him to have him be punished... but she "also" loved him hence she'd taken poison before hand and also died. As the other Prince had said, (paraphrased) let them die by their hands so they aren't defiled in their deaths.
I personally loved the ending and feel that it was perfect. I like how they wrapped it up for everyone, including…
I did too! They made such parallels against the main leads. Each of the lovers, when they found out JUST how far they'd go and how cruel they REALLY are, killed their loves.
This started interesting. Enjoyed the humor from FL's father. Chemistry was definitely there. The remaining last…
What do you mean they weren't punished? Their lovers LITERALLY killed them when they found out what they had done and HOW far they had gone... Do you mean the Protagonists didn't get to punish them?
I think they didnโt add the scene where the uncle gets carried by the bodyguard, or I missed it cause I donโt…
They didn't ๐ญ Justice for that (and I assume other) cut scenes of them. Like I wanted to see the Uncle go WILD after learning he'd been hurt defending the princess
