🤣 2 episodes left now and here I am wondering what I just watched for episode 24.... Did they just cram like 5 storylines into this one episode including a 180° for mom redemption? 🤣 I mean at least Shancha "almost" makes sense with her sudden "Come to Jesus" attitude 😅

The only true similarity is that it's a "3 lives" story so you could say that it's similar to a LOT of Xanxia in that regard since a lot of them are about betrayals and finding out the "truth" etc before their HEA

Well idk I kinda figured that this life was going to be over and next episode would be the next life "get it finally right" episode OR they'd somehow go back but maybe you're right and he gets to get his revenge moment. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah... it seems to be sinking in that people lie and use other people for their own personal gains 😅

I don't think they're leading to a sad ending and the original title simply translates to "Three Lives Without Sorrow" which also doesn't immediately scream sad ending to me. I think the point of all the "lives" is TO get the HEA. But still have a few episodes left so... 😅🤷‍♀️

So that's one of the things that got me mad... I wanted to see Alen Fang and instead I got (what I felt like) was a wooden character that just barely showed up. I liked his first couple of scenes in the beginning but once they got to the palace his character stopped making sense to me and became hard to understand. Like dude was just standing there in middle of palace garden at one point almost daring a guard to walk by 🤷‍♀️ My brain checked out. Plus I noticed a pimple on his face that was BADLY covered at one point and my brain kept zeroing in on that whenever I looked at him.

Yeah he was definitely a "I'm not explaining myself for No One" type character. Either you were with him or you weren't, he gave zero sh*ts what you believed about him 🔥

Another 2nd couple lover! This is exactly how the people in our watch party watched it too 🤣 Theyd come on screen and I'd lower the speed back down 🎉

Nah.... rate it.... I did and I'm usually of the same mindset of not going below 5.

The show is still airing, all episodes will be free soon. That said... yes skip... or at least watch the English Dub on YouTube and have an additional laugh

This is a super fair assessment. I think you actually managed to express WHY I didn't like the Main Leads romance too... they went with the Insta-love concept for them also which HONESTLY is completely against the characteristics of the characters they kept trying to portray. They're both supposed to be these logical people with their minds set upon their missions yet we are being fed a line "they cant help themselves... except when they can". Which then instead led to the whole slow-burn feeling of a set-up with our 3ML Na Zhan feeling more "in character" for the FL. They also had really odd set-ups, like the bathtub scene. There was ZERO reason for her to kiss him under the water and jump in with her clothes on other than "just because" and so it made her look silly. Meanwhile, their morals aside, I could buy the whole insta-lust turned to love for the 2nd couple because they both had that take things as they come, do whatever/whenever, type attitude so of COURSE they'd meet like with like and a spark would flame into a wildfire.

I'm glad you liked it enough to give it such a high rating though... In the end it just made me mad and the only thing it had going for it was the visuals (which even the editing of those were weird sometimes), the music, and yes for me 😅 the 2nd couple.

🤣 Oh yeah him too but since he was the villian I wasn't really counting him dumb to say. (I was also annoyed they killed 2ML 2 followers off screen... had that weird fight then cut out them ACTUALLY getting killed, just showed them laying there dead)

🤣I just rewatched it to make sure since I'm ridiculously tired and it took me falling asleep 3x just to watch a 15 minute mini but I'm 99% sure it's 2FL which is one of the reasons I was like "no one ACTUALLY dies but 2ML apparently"

If you rewatch it though FL is on the left in red and 2nd FL is on the right in cream holding the (way too big to be a newborn) baby.

Look I'm in the 2nd Couple is best couple group 🤣 I like Alen Fang but here I didn't, and I don't just mean his story, I didn't like his acting either, it felt wooden to me when I'm used to more animated, more emotional characters from him. You all were praising their kisses and I was here rolling my eyes thinking "this looks awkward to me, why they kissing again". I laughed at many of his scenes with FL because they felt ridiculous to me in a "we are trying too hard to be serious" way... I mean playing "hide and seek, follow the leader" for like a minute, minute and a half of screen time in what felt like slow motion was mind numbing, not cute, whenever I compared them to 2nd couple who I'd put on normal speed and their interactions would STILL feel quick and engaging.
It's essentially 2 different shows.
I personally hope they do a 2nd Couple edit compilation "movie" for YouTube, I'd rewatch that, otherwise I'm going to try my best to forget this exists and possibly use it as a LEAST FAVORITE drama pick for upcoming challenges 🤣

🤣 Too bad honestly. If he's the writer too than good job! I liked his parts, he had actual flesh to his story. I think if an actor suggests changes to a certain degree and the team agrees with them they end up getting a credit though? Or do they actually have to write a portion? Alan should have asked for rewrites for his character cause it was dumb and while I like him as an actor this is his worst character yet, even acting wise.

This is not a diss at you at all, just literally stating fact, if you want ANYTHING to make sense here.... turn it off, walk away... I mean they have face masks that change voices and make people taller and shorter? 🤣😅🤷‍♀️ Why not drink blood to quench thirst and become a vampire.

As for fleshing him out... I thought they DID flesh him out... overly fleshed him out... and I was bored to DEATH 🤣 His story was dumb is what it was, so they went "To salvage ANY of this we NEED to flesh out the 2nd ML too... but then THEY actually became interesting 🤣🤡

I ABSOLUTELY get what you mean about him not admitting it in WORDS even as he's dying but honestly... out of all the dumpster fire things they've had these characters do, I personally think this one makes the most sense to me in MY brain since I also have a messed up brain that can not say those words to even my husband (I think I've said them maybe 5 times or less in 11 years we've been together) so RW not being able to say anything within 1 yearish when he is still in his trying to figure out what he even FEELS phase and then his "I'm probably going to die and I want her to be able to forget me" phase make sense to me.
