🤣🤣🤣 Finished this last night and I for one was happy they gave Ruo Wen the big death he got since I'm in the 2nd leads were actually the main leads and better camp 🤷‍♀️🤣 So when they tried doing the whole ML is fighting for HIS life and swallowed by quicksand bit I was literally laughing at the contrast. He didnt even get a SONG 🤣 JUST weird background music until he was being almost fully swallowed. Then "poof": "I'm alive..." "How?" "Idk, the writer wanted me to be so I am Yay me!"

🤣 Hilarious that I agree with so much of this despite being in the 2nd Couple were REALLY the Mains faction and not liking the FL/ML storyline. ALSO hilarious that 90% of the time I read someone ff or skipped episodes but say the plot made no sense and think "well you ff and skipped ep so duh" 🤣 But I sat and watched EVERY episode and it STILL made only the loosest of sense in connected overall plot-wise and ZERO sense from a character development standpoint 🤣. I thought it was the 2nd FL somehow surviving, despite being shown dying, and SHE'S the one that gave birth at the end?

I wouldn't necessarily knock a show "just" based on the length of the episodes. There are absolutely some mini dramas that are tighter episodes and do more with 10-15 minutes than full length ones do with 45, it depends on the show. But if a minidrama interests you but you don't want to click every 10 or so minutes and want to binge watch there are plenty of YouTube compilations where they either compile a couple episodes to make longer "episodes" or they do the FULL VERSION approach and string them all together. 🥰😇

I think you're right to a degree actually, she is a bit immature and impulsive. The way I looked at it though is actually not that she took the wrong steps as a NORMAL assassin, but rather that she took the exact steps HE trained her from a teenager to eventually take.

My question was more about how the SHOW is counting their "3 lives".

Unless you're saying that this alternate reality doesn't actually COUNT as a "life" because by all accounts of these types of shows THIS is the truest sense of "3 lives" since they have essentially been "reborn" into this alternative reality and the audience doesn't truly know how long they've been conscious inside it.

They seemed to jump straight to "the end" with the betrayal for this one so I can't see HOW it would last more than an episode or two at most. I'm just confused now about how they're counting these "lives" cause til now I figured it was blind man/immortal 1st ep, demon/deer, mortal/immortal.... but here they're saying THIS is a completely "different" life. Was ALL the rest of it one life? Do we still have one more to go?

Yeah the "6 hours early" always gets me 🤣 Cause at the BEGINNING of the show when it makes the most "financial sense" ( 🤡 ) you have zero idea how hooked youll be on it whether youll be glued to the device counting the hours... and by the time you KNOW... Well the show's half over and youve either wasted your money OR havent bought it and are kicking yourself.

They aren't saying this show is on Youku, they are saying the "pay for episodes even though you already paid the subscription" model is on Youku also. Which it is 😅.

That's what I was saying lol. This one is simulcast same-day. They sold rights to Iqiyi right away (for some countries only apparently since OP has 🥝 but it's not there for them.) Meanwhile for a couple others, specifically I believe the one the other person was mentioning was Fateful Love, they gained rights LATER and did not get access to the ability to have the extras so they didn't have the extra episode or the express package.
Personally I was SUPER excited when I saw 🥝 had bought FL because I wanted to just finish it with express, use their 4k, and their push zoom speed... but they didnt get it so instead I just slowly followed the normal release since I wasnt going to pay AGAIN for express when I'd already paid for the extra episode.

You're right, they didn't unlock the episodes for Fateful Love but I "think" that had to do with them picking up the show like 3/4 of the way into the airing.

Aside from non-platfrom locations, if you have Iqiyi Premium VIP the extra episode each day is unlocked for "free".

🤣 Did she ever REALLY stop though? Her personality seems to be "something bad happened so I'm gonna blame FL". Feel semi-bad occasionally for her but GIRL 😅 She had NOTHING to do with your daddy deciding he wanted to sacrifice his life to try and save the ML. And WHY did it take her so long to come home and find out? 🤣 Did she NEVER leave his side for a minute for all 3 years waiting for him to wake up?

Yeah if you start looking at some of the minis and see "wtf was that ending that makes no sense" 🤣 9/10 it's because they have utilized this and its ALWAYS "Three Years Later" 😅 - Like I said, this one had the most cannon looking, realistic one which tells me personally the director was essentially saying in no life would she ever forgive YZX enough to have a "in our next life maybe we could be together" scene, so instead they went with:
She leaves and never looks back because she was indeed using him and any emotions she might have aren't strong enough to be love in the face of what shes suffered with that family...
Vs.
She eventually DOES miss the younger brother and they reunite

I didn't take it as romantic, at this stage neither one of them is in a place to be thinking romantic thoughts at all let alone towards someone they think is an actual family member. I took it more as a turning point where he feels he might actually be able to rely on someone in that household. Whereas she's seeing more that there is DEFINITELY more to him than he shows the world but she will still be there for him.

So I don't know if you've caught on to this or not, it sounds like something you haven't noticed despite watching a bunch of mini dramas (might just be the ones you've watched too) there's a "trope" I'll call it in these things where they end them and then have an ALTERNATE ending "3 years later". This one seems to have done it with the most actual story-consistant facts that don't blur the lines and make the viewer go "what just happened, what did I just watch in the last 3-5 min scene. So it looks very Canon. However, I honestly believe that you can fully watch this show to the end right before that "3 years later" and get the ending of "she leaves him and never looks back" that you semi-wanted. (the ending with YZX would never have happened as we both sadly agreed.

If you watch enough of these shows, you'll begin to notice that if the director wants to do a TRUE timeskip not an alternate ending they will use ANY number year other than "3 years later", such as Maid's Revenge with "5 Years Later".
