So the vibe I'm getting is VP convinced her to come in because HE thought they'd make a good couple but knowing our ML convinced him to give the other chick a try. So ML is stubborn and thinks that's what he wants but actually has chemistry with FL, he just doesn't admit it to even himself until after the drama starts when he's finally "free" of the game they've been playing when the friend married.

I watched the first 6 episodes on Viki today and I swear it took twice as long as they should have I had to keep pausing as I was either laughing my butt off or yelling at the screen 🤣

Exactly she already had killed Lord Pingnan so it shouldn't have been an issue with not wanting the FL to kill someone so IDK. Personally I didn't have an issue with her death, like I didn't want it but I was expecting it. I agree though it was odd she was just holding on to his leg THAT part was dumb imo BUT was in character for her soooo... ugh 😮‍💨

My half point was that some of the plots just seemed "too" convenient, shortened and tidy.

If you have to go that slow I'd suggest hitting pause for a moment and clicking the subtitle button and pulling them up on the screen to read through the scene first.

I'm glad the extra episode we got was the wedding and not the "modern version" when they showed back up again in the last minute I was like "oh no don't let THAT be the SE"

So a lot of the things are "grey-zone" interpretations of what happened based on feelings. For instance everyone's consensus is that YL raped her but you're right that it doesn't show her really fighting back or saying No, STOP, ect. there's just the scene with the wall and then the bed where he says he knows she's not asleep. On her part she has also used her body for her own gain but that doesn't necessarily mean she has "liked" it either. It is clear from the 2nd life timeline when she is talking with YL that she mentions a dream she had and after that dream she could never love him again... XW knew she was uncomfortable with YL in the first life and that's why he gave her the knife BUT as we saw in that flashback, he didn't have the servant explain WHY he was giving her the knife so she thought it was to off herself not defend herself.

LMAO they made sure no one could do that by having that solo wedding didn't they 🤣

Nah... he obviously seemed to do it often since there was that bit about "Oh, I forgot" when asking him to come in for a hug and the kid saying he needed to be dignified.

But yeah.... "nope I'm not going against my conscience AT ALL" 🤣

Somehow I didn't quite understand what was happening with the "wedding" until they showed her alone and yeah... that broke me as it was so sad and both she and Shen Jie looked miserable 😔 And how must it feel to be the actual Consort in that situation... VERY uncomfortable I imagine.
