This was so weirdly "bad" but strangely so funny and entertaining for most of the story that it was easy to overlook the weird pacing, storyline, and cgi. First time watching a white snake mythos show so had zero knowledge or expectations.

For IQIYI if they do express pass they don't "usually" sell it individually episode by episode, they just unlock the episodes for the premium vip members so you just have to update your teir. If you're on the monthly plan on first tier VIP they "pause" that subscription, activate the new one and then tack on the rest of your VIP 1 after you go back down a tier or fully unsubscibe so that you still get what you originally paid for.

So it not necessarily that I "forgive" him for threatening to kill her if she messes up his plans again (it's obvious to "us" he doesn't mean it but SHE is terrified when he says it), for me it's that I already know that as soon as he finds out that she REALLY has a fear of dying because of him, he makes her stab him to make up for it.
He's warned her multiple times about the dangers of his plots and he was terrified himself of her getting hurt. That's not the mindset of someone who would "actually" ever harm her, he's just still stuck in his earlier comment thought of "fear makes her behave" and he NEEDS her to behave and not accidentally get killed because she didn't come to him first.
Even still I have started to wonder if she actually thinks he means what he says or if she does indeed trust him enough now to see through the lie but just hasn't reconciled and worked through last life's emotions yet?
