I don't get why commenting that someone looks underweight is seen as body shaming. It's literally an observation.…
I don't either. Commenting facts is not shaming anyone. One of the issues I see people commenting about here and other places online is the incredibly harsh beauty standards in Korea, one of which is being super thin. That is reflected in dramas where male and female actors are so often very thin. Yet commenting about what the actress herself brought up is considered shaming. Really sad.
She is okay. Ask ahn eunjin too why she needs to look skinny on dynamite kiss.
That's the thing. Neither of us really knows whether she's healthy or not. And I'm not attacking her. I'm making comments on what she said in her interview.
"A lot of people are dedicated to their craft and sometimes may make decisions that are not the best to gain…
I agree with you on the issue of anorexia and am actually glad you brought that up because I don't know that much about it and did kind of gloss over the comment about it.
I don't know if it's so much minding her business as people having real issues with the extreme beauty standards in Korea (and China as I watch mostly CDramas and the women/men can be extremely thin in those as well) and that can affect people no matter their age. And if nobody talks about it nothing will change and meanwhile people suffer trying to meet an almost impossible societal standard of beauty.
So you're lashing out at people "minding her business" while you are minding everyone's in the comments…
Doesn't help, because it's not accurate. Most people weren't being nasty, unlike your comment. They were expressing their opinions on her own comments. You could have easily been nice in your comment while expressing your opinion.
The amount of body-shaming going on is honestly disgusting. Do any of you ever stop and think before tearing someone’s…
"Who gave you the authority on how a woman’s body should look???"
Who gave you the authority to tell other people how they should comment? The only ones with the authority to do that are the MDL administrators.
You could just have easily stated your opinions without attacking anyone. And what makes you think people's comments are projecting their insecurities? How could you possibly know that?
Her life her career and her body she can choose what to do with it. Other people should mind their business, as…
"A lot of people are dedicated to their craft and sometimes may make decisions that are not the best to gain results but as long as it’s done in a healthy way, I have no problem with it."
So if it's not done in a healthy way you'd have a problem with it? And how do you know it was done in a healthy way? Aren't you minding her business with that sentence in the same way you're accusing others of doing?
Nobody's going up to her and saying these things so no one is minding her business. This is a comment section on a news article. People are pretty free to state their opinions and have others state theirs, just like you did.
oof - just finished this and it was not a fun ride. This had to have been one of the more annoying cdramas I have…
I just wrote a comment from the first ep that had me contemplating quitting. Your points lead me to think I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'll try a bit more to see how I feel about the cases, but thank you for putting your honest thought on here to help people.
"I'm not a big fan of Simon Gong, but I thought I'd try this drama because I've seen good reviews and comments about it. There was even a review somewhere from a psychologist who said it was well done. But right away, first ep I'm questioning all that.
First of all why in the world would they hire a women who came in off the street with no background in psychology and who lied about who she was?
Second, why does the ML not lock his office when he leaves or at least lock the door to his pasword-protected files? What kind of a professional is he?
I really dislike when characters do stupid things just to advance the plot. There has to be a better way to tell your story."
