Re: The SK vs SEAblings war, are you referring to this? https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/seablings-v-korea-online-spat-reveals-long-buried-racial-tensions
Just started reading and it's sadly fascinating.

Also, thanks for letting me know about your profile pic! I have that as Plan to Watch and now have an additional reason. :)

That's interesting. Thank you. I've been reading on another site about racist attitudes in China and I'm glad to be able to add to my knowledge on this topic.

I remember seeing your profile picture before and trying to find where it came from. Can you tell me?

I saw this actually work for IU over the years. I remember how insane and relentless the rumors about her were…
I didn't know that about IU. I respect her for respecting herself enough to do what must have been stressful for her.

I watch mostly Chinese dramas and there are Chinese actors who are also suing and going after perpetrators of schemes trying to ruin their careers (Tan Jianci is one currently doing that).

I really hope these stars continue to sue and maybe it will have a good effect, because it's ridiculous what power people have over the careers of some of these celebrities.

Title Lighting Up the Stars Spoiler
I didn't like when the ML gave the sleeping adopted girl to her mother without talking to the girl first (he should've…
I felt the same way. It's the only part of the movie that felt off. But in thinking about it I'd have to say the ML probably didn't know what to do. It's not like he had a happy childhood or any kind of experience with kids. And it also lent angst to the movie, but what a horrible thing for that poor little girl to go through. I did love how the issue with the mother was resolved in the end.

Threats don't mean a thing to Knetizens. Or netizens in general. So unless you live in the United Kingdom where…
" If threats of prosecutions HAD ever worked, we'd see no vicious or harsh comments/feedback/criticism anywhere in the various forums we use to gather and talk~"
I don't know about that. There are threats of prosecution for murder and people in jail for murder and people still get murdered.

Watched the first episode and the FL was so annoying. Then I read your review and that convinced me not to bother continuing because I know I couldn't handle 20 more episodes of her. Being not too bright can be cute, but being mean to the people around you is never cute.

Thank you for saving me from watching more of this drama. Your review made me laugh, too.

Oh, the irony of calling other people “clueless idiots” while swallowing every manipulated clip and out-of-context…
Thank you for this. I watched some of the videos that came out after Yu Menglong's death and I was shocked that people could actually believe such nonsense. And based on such flimsy "evidence" people are trying to destroy two actors in order to find someone to blame. It saddens me almost as much as YML's death.

Dropped after ep 6. I wish I'd quit sooner and saved myself some time!

I just dropped this drama at ep 6 and for pretty much the same reasons you did. I found the ML/FL pairing distasteful as they seemed more like brother/sister. I didn't like either of the FL leads. I did like the message of not taking your revenge because you'll end up just like the murderer. When I found out the murderer kills the FL's mother I knew I didn't want to stick around for that.

Title Light beyond the Reed Spoiler
The difference between this drama and other CDramas that I think are really great is amazing. I have seen very…
From some comments I thought I would hate the mother all the way through and Chu Chu from when she lied in court, but I didn't. This drama portrayed most of the characters as human, just like Chu Chu said. I loved the character growth in almost all characters (criminal excepted, of course). The one character I most loathed right to the end was Tao Jie. Througout the drama I thought she really looked up to the criminal and believed he was innocent. I was appalled when I found out she'd been a victim and was so twisted in her thinking that she gave in to him and helped him.

I thought I would have a difficult time watching some scenes from what I'd read, but they managed to convey what happened without showing much detail which I was appreciative of and thought was excellent filmmaking. Really glad I finally watched it.
