Thank you for telling me your experience as a make up artist. I've seen YT shorts where someone completely changes their face using different make up techniques and appliances and I find it so hard to believe it's actually the same person. It amazes me.

Shouldn't an actor be able to portray the character he/she is playing by acting and not by how much they weigh? Also isn't the makeup department skilled enough to make them appear thinner without jeopardizing their health by losing extreme amounts of weight?

I can see that to you his remark isn't a big deal, but to many people it was. And not all people who express an opinion different from yours are haters. Many people were very disappointed in what ZLH said because they were fans of his. I'm not a big fan of his acting, but I recently saw an interview he did and found him quite funny and humble, so not a hater.

Sorry if that was confusing. I was using the comparison to show that the amount of time it takes to say something doesn't equate to the outcome and that applies here, too, as there were big consequence to what ZLH said, even though it took only a couple of seconds for him to say what he did.

Having seen actors say and do things that appalled me I agree with you. It's still diappointing to discover unpleasant things about them.

And sometimes a perceived insult isn't just perceived, it's actual racism. This controversy happened because of what the actor himself said. He can't blame anyone else. You might not interpret what he said as bad, but many people do.

In the US one word can have a big effect on a person's career, because that word is loaded with history and prejudice. It's not how much time something took to say, it's the meaning behind what they said.

What happened? I tried to find information on the director, but got nothing other than regular biography.

The lack of memes, etc. is something I wouldn't have known about had I not seen comments about it. Now that I come to think of it I haven't seen a lot of memes, shorts or videos with parts of the drama remade.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I was already leaning on the side of not watching due to another review that talked about the convoluted plot and seeing a FL not being treated the way you describe would really frustrate me. I appreciate you thoughts.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It helped me decide not to watch the drama. I was going to give it a try because of the high rating, but I have enough trouble understanding what's going on in dramas as it is (have to rely on subtitles) so anything really convoluted is more than I want to spend time on!

I've read people saying it was just a joke, but I've yet to figure out how the "joke" would be explained as not insulting to SEA people
