No worries. I may give it another episode or two since I've read a couple of different reviews from bloggers that I like. Still, I have a feeling I will drop it or wait until all the episodes are out to see it and may keep my initial thoughts.
I fondly finished watching this drama and that being said, it was not boring to me for the most part! Also loved…
I absolutely agree with you on all three points. I felt that the conflict in their idividual lives and life as a couple was lackluster. I kept waiting for ML's jealousy to go beyond cute and kind- if that's the word for it - to show us that he truly loved her after all these years but then just gave up as that arc tapered off. The show told us that he loved her but I actually didn't really feel it. I felt the FL did a better job with her introspection after her realization that he loved her but then this doesn't include any anxiety about her accepting the relationship. In my book (no pun intended), the romance was feel-good but was neither gripping nor practical enough to come from mature adults. Actually all the cp's romances were a bit too airy-fairy and surface to leave an impact.

hey, you are entitled to your enjoyment and perspective. i'm not here to convince you to believe or feel the same as i do. just sharing and backing up my ideas.
I couldn't agree with you more on Joe Chen's character. Mind you she has a history of playing brainless females. There is the one with Wang Kai and her post-it girl in Fated to love You to name a couple.

There was a similar feeling I had with the beginning of Goblin though not to the same extent. I struggled even more with Rookie Historian thstvI dropped it at ep.4. Also I don’t mean non fantasy when I say legit. Take, for example, the spiked coffee setup. I was like, huh? what? Everything led them to be stuck in their situation even though, to me, it doesn’t make logical sense.
I try not to write super negative stuff about shows on here but this one did me in. I find it so not genuine.. It’s like the writers couldn’t find a legit way for them to get together so they made up this bizarre scenario that forces them on each other —and all that fake sauce, eek. I could go on and on about what I do not like about the characters but it’s not worth it. I’ll just say that the characters’ motivations, choices, and reactions do not ring true to me.
JGS: If I get rid of IC, will you let go of Yi Seo? Me: Buddy, please straighten out your priorities. Like, how many people will be out of a job man, come on.
I watched all of them, but I find it a bit difficult to finish princess agent. After watching all of these, I…
Interesting. I cannot stand Yang Mi's stuff. I only watched Eternal Love because of the Dramafever snippets showing the leads' chemistry with each other. I saw a bit of depth from Yang Mi and so it's the only work of her's that I can tolerate.
I've read some of the novel and seen the spoilers that have been posted. Unfortunately for me, it has made me…
I see your points and, like you, I would love to see more complex and diversified characters/settings as these stories become more mainstream. I'm so grateful for this path of progress though. Compare these Thai dramas to Sorn Ngao Ruk and Bai Mai Tee Plid Plew made for the broader more conservative Thai society and you may take my meaning.
I've been watching BL content for the past 8 years or so and I absolutely could not stand the way m/m relationships were shown to the audience (Frozen Flower for example). To me, it seemed that the creators just about always portrayed m/m relationships as torment and damnation both for the characters' internal and external worlds. I appreciate that these new BL shows come from an overall perspective of acceptance. The fact that we now have access to these kinds of stories in the dramaverse is a relief and that we have the privilege to question if these relationships and roles are healthy in the same way we might question other gender relationships/roles (say like the cold prince, candy, gender stereotypes, etc).
I'm a hetero female and I don't watch these stories as a fangirl. They are just another kind of story I'm glad to see on my screen. This is another POV.
I feel like, it because they don't have intimate scenes with each other like other drama, they prob did that to…
Somehow a closeup of eyes only staring does not show affection in my eyes. I see it as an excuse to drag out the series or it's a really bad editing style.
Is it me or is this drama edited to drag it out longer than it should be? Like a close up of the eyes closing, then the face with the eye closing. Everything seems slow-paced and dragged out and nothing really happens anyway as the script seems sparse.
Why do you think Soo Ah abandoned her morals? She always was willing to do what it takes to achieve success -…
I agree that the situation is bittersweet for her because she can't have her cake and eat it too. But her bottom line is that she wants to have a certain type of lifestyle and she has to make difficult choices to do so and live with the consequences. She's got grit. I still think her emotions toward Saeroyi are ambiguous and she doesn't make them clear - this I see more as a flaw because it's as if she is stringing him along.
I feel like people are too critical of the characters, each of them has a major flaw that dictates the way they…
Why do you think Soo Ah abandoned her morals? She always was willing to do what it takes to achieve success - not rock the boat. That is her moral standard. We may perceive it as a flaw but most people respond this way to make money and survive.
