Yes, they strike me as thoughtful and respectful guys. I went to check the other translation too and it was more about being rough. I notice many times that different translators translate the same sentence differently and sometimes the meanings can change. Mandarin seems to be such a complex language and with many interpretations.

I didn't interpret it like that. I think they were talking about these types of scenes when one of the characters kisses the other like Shu Yi kissed Shi De the first time on the bridge, very intense and the other is not expecting and taken aback as opposed to a more soft and mutual kissing.
