I've always said that, even in season 1 when there are questions about certain actions or the plot that didn't…
I loved TTTS season 1 but even I can objectively see she's a m/m rape fetichist. She just got lucky to have found a good director for season 1 (TeeSinta) with sensibility and skills to give depth to the story and got lucky with giving Type an interesting premise and background. I also liked LBC s1 except for KenklaNo.
But as I said... if in a universe of characters (LBC and TTTS books and series) at least 5 characters are raped and some of these rapes result in end game relationships, no rapist suffers consequences and even former rape victims contribute to the revengeful rape of another character...or if on another book she calls a relationship that involves violence, rape (non consensual violent sex) and other awful abusive stuff as a "BDSM loving relationship")... Lets call a spade a spade, shall we?
people writing ESSAYS about character development, as if there is any, about type makes me laugh because guys…
Mame was busy writing LBC 2 and when they were almost beginning filming the script wasn't ready yet. Mew and Gulf even joked several times "where is the script?". It's obvious she didn't put much thought into this so far at least for the first two episodes, or at least not as much as she put into season 1. The premise of conflict in a long term relationship seemed interesting to me and I was looking forward to this as I loved season 1 and wanted to see their development, but it's apparent she didn't think this through (so far), nor seems to have given much thought to the dynamics of a long term relationship or know much about it. And lets not get into the awkward dialogues and secondary characters. Plus with such big Hirablue investment, the directing, editing, image treatment and sound have issues. Something is off here. However, it should be enjoyed for what it is, a light hearted fluff series with some NC in the middle (so far).
one thing i noticed is ppl like to ride hype wave. most ppl like to act deep when its convinient. ITSAY is an…
ITSAY is my favorite BL of the year and probably to date and I'm not enjoying this season of TharnType so far, however, I also think it's unfair to compare shows. Each show is different and not all shows need to be like ITSAY. I for one love Cherry Magic too (another one of my year favorites) and it's a simple light hearted story or Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like in the movies) which has a much lower budget than ITSAY. Totally different shows that shouldn't be compared or measured against each other.
I think that we should look and analyze a show for what it is and what it's trying to present to us. Obvious TTTS doesn't intend to be the same type of show as ITSAY and that's alright. As I said shows shouldn't be compared that way.
However to those who say that people shouldn't be criticizing, i don't think it's a bad thing to do if it's done fairly and objectively. For me objectively and not comparing to anything else, so far the script, directing, editing and sound are a mess that I don't understand given the allegedly high investment Hirablue did on these series and how great the actors are. And I say this out of my love for season 1 and how much I expected from this series. I would say this regardless of the other shows I've watched.
And I want to add that this is nothing to do with TharnType being in a long term mature relationship already and not at the beginning chasing stage, I love me some mature established relationship and was really looking forward to watch this story. I think that both Tharn and Type having different approaches to their future and relationship is a very interesting (and realistic) premise, I just don't like the way it's being executed. I'm also not feeling anything for the side characters but hopefully this will change as the episodes go.
Hopefully it will get better. We're only 2 episodes in.
when a show has a lot of bad comments doesn't always mean that they're haters, is because it isn't that good?…
Agree. Most of my negative comments in here were objective. I loved season 1 and I think Mew and Gulf are amazing actors. I just feel like so far this is not it. Hope it gets better.
People here saying that they are here for side couples, while me already annoyed by Cir and Phugun. Like why are…
Same. Agree with that about those side couples. Besides that neighbor couple is cute, but they seem like they infantilize the smallest one (can't remember who is who) with the pajamas and big plushy while the other one looks much older. I don't know, it just looks off. And yes, the doctor looks awkward and those dialogues were very off and awkward. I loved Champ and also wouldn't mind seeing his story with the doctor develop, but even Champ doesn't look like himself this season, I don't know.
And yes those scenes at the hospital were all a cringe fest. Also I don't think they exposed the conflict between Type and the boss well, but maybe they'll explain it in the next episodes?
It has been only 2 episodes so hopefully things can get better.
EP4 taught me that 'You must love yourself before anyone else'
I think that was the biggest message of the episode. Also that Teh and Aew can't truly love each other and be together until they learn to love and accept themselves.
According to https://twitter.com/BKPP_INTL/status/1327541796151259136Yes it is, some story pick from their real…
That's an interesting way of casting! But it's also only possible because Nadao is not only a production company but also a management company. So they can go to their roaster and choose for whom they'll write the series. It makes them even more suited for the actors.
Perfect interpretation! Thank you! God there is so much to unpack!
I think the water one is about both of the characters different states of mind;
Teh- likes to be floating on the surface, which means he wants to keep control. Keeping control of himself and of the expectations the others have on him. As Aew says he has to keep breathing all the way to keep that posture and it can become uncomfortable/tiring sometimes.
Aew- is at a stage where he wants to just let go and stop trying to control everything... he wants to stop fighting against the current and finally express his love for Teh with no resistance and be himself, hence he likes to just let himself drawn and let go of control.
When both let go of the control that is needed to keep floating they go underwater where they feel they can totally be themselves because no one is watching or judging and there they can finally kiss.
maybe you mean the end of episode 4. Teh realized that there was nothing left to prepare for the exam because…
If you don't love and accept yourself, if you give everything to someone all you got left is nothing, you get depleted. In the end there was nothing left for him.
For people who didn't watch the ep5 of documentary there is an interesting part about the bra scene:Boss (the…
I know, I saw it and I'm so glad they changed to the bra scene... it was even more powerful! I still can't stop thinking about the scene. Also shot out for Boss's improvise capacity when faced with obstacles and making it even better than was already planned.
