And I'm sure, with only 5 episodes, we also feel exhausted by these turbulent emotions. it's just perfect.
If the story was planned for 5 episodes then I prefer like this. I don't like filler episodes or when they try to extend the story too much. I love bkpp and this series so much, but I think it's perfect like this with 5 long episodes. Of course I'm going to miss them a lot though. Nadao hinted that there will be more stuff after episode 5, but I hope that whatever it is that it's properly done.

I'm not enjoying this at all. Even the shower scene last ep seemed contrived and it was a bad ripoff of the car…
Mame is not a very skilled writer, though I think TTTS had good dialogues, so I still think that a huge part of the quality was Tee's exemplary directing. He even had many pages of notes on each character, even Lhong (12 pages for him I think) to truly portray their characters and motivations perfectly.

Though many of the issues in this season so far seems to be the directing, the editing, sound and bgm, I see that the dialogues have grown incrasingly worse. Some of the dialogues seem very unnatural and non sensical, in today's episode nothing happened just random exposition and bad edited NC with no context or build up and the old characters don't even look like themselves. Mame turned Tharn into a shell of himself: always horny, always showing servitude to Type (too much), apologizing for things he didn't do wrong when it was Type who was aggressive with him or always pouting like a child. On episode 1 he even turned off Type's alarm clock and made Type almost get late to work just because he wanted to stay with Type in bed. And in this episode he apologized and promised to act as if he's not hurt/upset to please Type (wtf) and put his hand on a burning pan?? This is not season 1 Tharn... Yes, season 1 Tharn was crazy for Type and sometimes would show some lack of self respect... but on this level. Not on this level of unhealthy codependency! And sometimes when arguing season 1 Tharn would stand his ground.

Lets not forget (but this is the directors' fault) that the NC scene on the bathroom was interrupted by a shot of Techno pucking in a bucket and then returned to the NC and interrupted it again with Techno Champ lol what?

And when Tharn sang the season 1 OST (a nod to season 1), the scene looked disjointed, the playback wasn't right and the microphone stood on Tharn's face the whole time.

But getting back to the script...Why has she destroyed Tharn like this? Is this what she thinks a long term relationship is? Even with Tharn and Type's season 1 immaturity, they weren't like this.

And when Type said they couldn't run like when they were young (are they old now? lol) or those cringy dialogues in the scene with Champ, the doctor and Type where they act as if it's hilarious Champ doesn't understand some simple medical terms? And all the exposition dialogue during the episode instead of "show don't tell"?

But I could forgive and forget everything had they not butchered Tharn and other old cast characters. Mew and Gulf are amazing actors but it's hard with this script and directing.

Sorry for the rant, just had to say it's not only the directing and editing, but the script is a mess too. But yeah, TeeSinta could've saved this and at least make this watchable.

That underwater scene was the most beautiful scene I've ever seen in my entire BL-watching. I just told myself…
Same, it was so perfect I want to cry!

But teh himself didn't realize he was being jealous cus he had romantic feelings for him he thought he was being…
I think that many people forget that Teh has not accepted his sexuality yet and is very conflicted inside, plus he's an inexperienced teenager. Some people are expecting Teh to act as a rational kid who is out of the closet. He's not and it's the fact that he doesn't accept his feelings due to his heteronormative conditioning by society and family that propels him to do many things that are irrational and not conductive of a relationship with his crush/person he loves (Aew).

Through most of this series Teh can't even understand what he's feeling for Aew (hence the soundtrack Can't Translate)... he tries to act as a friend by incentivating Aew to be with Bas but at the same time he doesn't know why he's feeling that way. He hasn't rationalized thins as "oh, I love him, I better fight for him to be in a romantic relationship with him"... that's us the audience watching from outside.

Also some people forget that as much as Teh loves Aew (and I fully believe he does), he doesn't want to have an actual relationship with Aew because he's not ready to accept his sexuality yet and not because he's "messing with Aew's feelings on purpose" or "does't love Aew" or "his actions make no sense". As I said he hasn't rationalized what he feels and he can't accept what he feels for now because it goes against all the expectation his mother has on him and everything he was raised to be. Like many people in the lgbt+ community that struggle with accepting themselves, Teh (and to some extent we saw that in Aew last episode too) thinks it would be easier if he was straight. On the other hand except for the self doubt in last episode, Aew seemed to have already gone through what Teh is going through now before and now he's much more accepting of his sexuality, hence why he's so sure he wants to pursue a relationship with Teh, plus his family seems much more accepting and relaxed than Teh's mother.

Teh and Aew are not at the same self acceptance stage, hence their conflict. This all to real and what many people go through.

I would be perfectly fine with Oh ending up with Bas. It's one reason I don't fear a sad ending to this series,…
I love Bas and hope him and Aew can eventually remain friends as he needs that support in his life and I hope Bas ends up happy. However I can't ship them as my heart is all in with TehAew lol But if Aew has to end up with Bas (I don't think it will happen though), at least show Teh moving on and happy too.

Didn't realise that. But damn that's heartbreaking ?? I'm feeling really bad like terrible. This episode was too…
Praying circle manifesting happy ending lol I hope that I'm right when I say that they can't hurt us more than they've hurt us with ep 4, so things can only get better.

Smh in the ending scene when Teh opened the book and broke down crying (to add a complete KO) all the words left…
Thanks for making me cry again!

A lot of the theories here has actually come true, but they have given such a spin to it. Like we thought ending…
I only accept open ending/not fully happy ending if what's coming after episode 5 will resolve that. I've suffered so much on last episode and I'm so invested in them that I can't take more pain lol

Agree! I hate those rape plots in which the victim and the criminal get together as a couple and everything is brushed under the rug. This is already awful in reading format (but at least it's something more niche) but it works even worse in a audiovisual medium that adapts this mess to screen.

Agreed that mame is pretty toxic and so is most of her work. I've the novel of this series is a mess too, but…
The fans were very worried she'd put her rape fantasies in s2 so she said that she wouldn't put the problematic troupes in s2. Gladly she took them off, so we're finally going to have a work by Mame with no m/m rape troupes.

I loved TTTS s1 and LBC s1 until the KenklaTechno mess but we've got to admit yes that she's obsessed with man/man rape tropes. In the TTTS/LBC universe there's at least 5 characters that are raped and most of these rapes don't even make sense from a plot or character perspective. Some of these rapes develop into relationships. And on one of these rapes (a gang rape where the victim was drugged, filmed and blackmailed), the criminal suffered no consequences and it's implied that the only bad consequence that happened to the criminal was losing Tharn forever. In the book TTTS s2 is based on, Type, a former rape victim takes revenge on First by tying him up, beating him up with several friends until his knee breaks and then leaving him to be raped by Leo, a guy that is in love with First (don't worry, Mame said this won't be on the show, so I'm not spoiling anything). On another couple there is rape, kidnapping and violent abuse and she called it a bdsm relationship (it's not on TTTS or LBC).

I don't mind sexual assault being written about or depicted. It happens, but her obsession with it is too much. If Type being a child abuse victim was a great plot and gave more depth and meaning to Type's character and his journey towards overcoming his trauma and accepting his homosexuality, every other rape in TTTS and LBC seemed like a cheap sick fantasy plot because she couldn't come up with other ways of spicing up her stories and characters and give them actual depth and motivations. Or used as a plot device or romanticized to then have the rape victims fall in love with their rapist and it ending up in end games couples.

I think that objectively thinking this woman is sick and has a fixation on man/man rape troupes is not being too sensitive, it's just stating the obvious in her writing. It's not overreacting or making stuff up... it's in her books and scripts.

Sure she's successful and kudos for her for having created a BL empire, but lets call a spade a spade.
