Please someone tell me if this is worth watching or not. I'm loving Talay on My Engineer and it was him that brought me here.

Oh, king does like Ram.... you can tell from the official teaser XD https://youtu.be/YqVXoRsnYNs
Oh ok, thanks. I confess that I've been watching My Engineer without having seen any trailers/teasers before, so I'm a blank slate of expectations lol The video you posted was the first trailer I watched and I thought it was one of those fake trailers Thai dramas like to do lol But now I also have to proceed with caution because I think I'll be salty if they don't deliver the 2 kisses they seem to imply. Probable outcomes:

- BohnDuen: at the last minute Duen regrets and pushes Bohn away in panic

- The seemingly intense almost kissing RamKing scene in the trailer was just the fan girls imagining their BL fantasy just like the one where they roll on each other and Ram is holding King's hand on his heart lol

You're right. After seeing them again in the first episode of Love Mechanics (which is another ball of ugly) I…
I didn't like Love Mechanic's plot or how rushed it was, but the acting was 1000000 times better than in Tossara. The actor that played Mark was a natural and very good and the actors had chemistry. I hope MarkVee get a full length series (or the actors as other characters because I didn't like the story)

The script team messed it up on the last 3 episodes and it could tell. Bright himself has no control over what…
What intimacy even are they talking about? I don't remember any intimacy in their apartment. Unless spooning with your boyfriend in the sofa while the brother of the boyfriend pretends he's sleeping just because, is considered the peak of romance and intimacy (the scene was cute though).

Why did they even have to film all the "romantic" (??) scenes all at once in the same day in the first place? And why would those "romantic" head patting scenes make them so shy? Makes no sense to me. Or did the production team think it was better to get it over with and spare the actors and crew from enduring more "gaying" and so just film the few "romantic" scenes all at once on the same day? lol

Not a basic Hallmark drama! :))) Haha you should really write more comments here, the delicious shade! But all…
Who is Phuak? I watched DBK but can't seem to recall a character with that name. But I'm once again barely breathing with your wardrobe descriptions and need to know who was dressing like "he was going to a 6-year old's rodeo birthday party" hahaha

Okay, I didn't wanna see Bright's reaction video of the last ep coz I knew I would only be getting excuses but…
I haven't watched the reaction video yet because I don't want to feel more frustrated, but can you tell me if after Bright says that they should have kissed MUTUALLY instead of the flashbacks if any explanation or anything else was said about the absence of a kiss or any other romantic scene in the finale?

I know right? Seeing this even disappoints me more. Its definitely not entirely on this being the first scene…
The fact that the script writers never once wrote a scene for Saratine as boyfriends being happy and in love is already disastrous, or that they didn't give a scene in private to Saratine in the finale after the drama is the mess it is, but I still can't for the love of god understand why the other 5 minute side couples had their bodies close to each other and arm around each other listening to the concert and the main couple only got an high five. I'm still baffled and no one has explained the high five decision properly yet lol

True. And the 2 kisses we had were awkward and was just Sarawat kissing and Tine dumfounded and not reacting. I don't call them a kiss. The bodylanguage during those kisses were awkward too. If they showed 2 kisses like that why didn't they put an actual mutual kiss after they got back together (in private) to show how happy and in love they are now that the misunderstandings are behind? The excuse of it being PG 13 doesn't cut because they had already given us 2 (awkward) kisses, so what was the issue on giving one proper one in the end?

As to preparing Bright to be a mainstream artist it might seem like they're preparing him for that I agree, however PeteKao, who btw was an established couple, on DBK had proper mutual kisses (not many, but that's how it is in gmmtv), and a romantic one in the last episode and New (the one who played Kao) stars on mainstream/hetero entertainment with no problem. KhaiThird in Theory of Love also had proper kisses and OffGun are one of the most famous BL ships in Thailand and Gun at least is in mainstream non BL shows, The Gifted for example. I don't think the public with have issues with Bright having been on a BL as these other actors mentioned have successful careers that extends beyond BL.

We had a behind the scene like this:https://winlovebot.tumblr.com/post/618621961313075201/now-this-couldve-been-a-cute-sceneAnd…
I had never seen that BTS! Why the hell didn't we have a shot of them listening to the concert like this? Except for Bright pushing Win's head of course. But Tine with his head on Sarawat's shoulder listening to the music would've been 100x better than that awkward high 5 and everyone hugging and close to each other except for the main couple lol

I don't usually trust trailers because many of them record the trailer before even recording the show and several shows had trailers with scenes that never show up in the show itself. If they have baited me with a BohnDuen and RamKing kiss in the trailer and don't deliver, I'm going to be upset but not surprised lol

Ugh, Bohn and Duen! Why?! It's obvious they both lack a lot of emotional maturity. Duen's character is supposed…
I totally agree! I love that this show doesn't try to take itself very seriously and delivers what it promises. But what if as you say they purposefully and with self awareness are including these BL parody moments? They seem to parody the BL fujoshi. And they even addressed the Top/Bottom common stereotypes that are usually so prevalent in BL fiction. In the first episodes of Why R U with the sister writing the fanfic and the over the top cliche scenes going on in a almost humorous way, I expected Why R U to be a meta of BL, parodying the genre. They ended up not delivering what I foolishly believe it was going to be the show's direction. What I didn't expect in the first episodes of My Engineer was that this show would be the "meta/BL parody" I was wanting lol I swear, this show looks simple and "cliche", but at the same time it looks more than it meets the eye. The duality lol

When season 2 happens I don't want to see a single scene with fan girls. If they can I wouldn't mind if they limit…
What's this thing with Thai BL and crazy fan girls? We have them here on My Engineer, we had the Sarawat wives, we had Khai fangirls in Theory of Love, if I recall correctly we even had annoying fangirls in Why R U, in UWMA Dean had fangirls and university paparazzi... There are fanclubs for the popular college kids. I've never seen something like this and I'm curious to know if this is actually common in real life in Thailand lol

Last Friday when this series came to an end, I poured my rage into a review, and avoided this page. I can't tell…
First of all let me tell you that I'm gasping for air because you made me laugh so much with the last part about the wardrobe. I even have tears wanting to come out of my eyes because of how much it made me laugh hahaha

Second of all I want to say I agree with you. The issue was in grand part the script. I don't think it was just Sarawat that got a lobotomy or abducted by aliens, I think the script writer team too. It can't be the same who wrote the first episodes. I'll admit, for me the story became a bit boring on the second half (before the disastrous 2 last episodes), but it was still watchable and had some sort of consistency. Some people are excusing this mess with the "but they filmed the concert high five scene first when they still weren't comfortable with each other". Well, the issue wasn't just that, the issue is the whole script in the last 2 episodes. Was that script also written in the beginning when the script writers weren't comfortable with their computers?

It felt like they had run out of ideas and had 2 episodes to fill, and so they made all this unnecessary Pam drama and quick half assed resolution just to fill in the time slot they rented to the tv network. I'd have preferred that after the bus scene they just showed Sarawate and Tine having boyfriend moments (a dinner date, watching a movie, cuddling in bed, helping their friends get love too, being happy in love, etc) and then give some time slot to the side couples and that's it. Boring? Maybe but at least more consistent. I don't understand why the last episode didn't have at least one blissful couple moment and a moment in private to talk and show happiness and love. What is the justification for this?

In my opinion it wasn't just the actors, the issue was everything: the actors, the editors, the directors and the script writers, being that the last 2 had the biggest part in this disaster. An actor always needs a good director to shine. Oh they're not comfortable with each other at that time period? Well, suck it up buttercup, the actors can't show their awkwardness and discomfort in these situations, they need to perform and the director needs to either instruct them better, put them in chemistry workshops, call the acting coaches, add or take out some things, do whatever to make it work not just let this mess pass. A director with vision and understanding of the characters would've never let the high five pass and would have them properly hugging or some sort of body language they shows they're happy to be back together. But then again a proper script writer would've given the main couple more than moments in public to show their love after getting back together... and would never have written the forced Pam arc after we already had to endure the forced Mil arc.

I'm surprised that Bright is genuinely invested in Sarawat's character and the story overall. You can tell he…
This is just my feelings from what I saw and the interviews. I had a feeling Bright was invested in the beginning. He read the novel and tried to understand the character. But somewhere along the way (about middle of the series, before the mess of the last episodes), I noticed that Bright looked disconnected from the role. Suddenly it was as if he lost some of his versatility of expressions that he had before and was very one note. But it got worst in the last 3 episodes. It felt like that somewhere along the way he stopped trying. But I don't blame this fully on him, I think the directing took a big part in what happened. The directors need to guide the actors properly and insist until the actor/actors emote the necessary emotions and transmit the necessary chemistry. If there is no chemistry and there is awkwardness then they need to insist on putting the actors on workshops, having acting coaches getting them closer, etc until the necessary results come up. The directors need to look at what's happening and judge if the actors are transmitting wha's written on script or not and do whatever it takes through the directing, filming and editing to transmit the story. If the script details are not working on screen to emote the necessary emotion for the scene (if the high five was written on script for example), then little changes need to be made.

The novel is ok overall but holy hell there's parts are just awful not awful writing but just horrifying lotta…
I read their first time and I was disgusted and hated Sarawat for that. So I lost interest in reading the rest of the novel lol Is there anything else that's triggering?

Can you please tell me which series disappointed you?
I agree. My Engineer is light and cliche yes, but they do it in a way that's engaging, adorable and keeps us wanting more. There is no over the top drama or toxicity, yet it keeps us engaged in the 4 couples and wanting to see more of their love stories. With 2gether I loved the first episodes but then it went downhill from there. With My Engineer I confess that I wasn't captured by the first episode. I thought it was "meh", but then it got better and better and better each episode and I'm loving it. They have been consistent and the quality never decreased and that's what I love about the show. I prefer a show that doesn't take itself too seriously and consistently delivers than a show who promises too much but then ends up falling flat. I wish My Engineer had been better marketed from the beginning and that they had uploaded he episodes right away on youtube since the beginning, because the thing that decreased their views were he illegal uploads. I still see illegal uploads on youtube that have more views than the official episodes and that upsets me.

It's all damage control now. Watching that I was like...yeah okay, but why didn't anyone (director) during editing…
I'm sorry that I don't have the receipts. I just read on twitter or on youtube (can't remember), someone saying that the script writer was the same as Theory of Love and I was shocked but I can't find any confirmation here on MDL so I could be wrong. If someone can confirm I'd like to know.

Dark Blue Kiss and Theory of Love are amazing and years of light in quality than Kiss me Again and 2gether in every aspect. But wasn't 2gether written by the same script writer as Theory of Love? How is it even possible? lol
