dropped it.I love strong woman but she is just a bitch. When a man would act that way everybody would say he is…
Yess. People can ignore all that just because they share a gender but if a person of opposite gender does it (man), it is toxic and misogynistic. The double standards are disturbing and off putting af.
Maybe it's not just about who JJ ended up with but many things more. Start up and true beauty generated far more…
Truth? We never were talking about a matter of truth but a matter of prespective and why it isn't something bad to express a prespective. Majority of the people agree with the opinion that the drama was a mess and that's the truth from their prespective. If you think you can put anything into words that wouldn't make sense or isn't a matter of truth, you'll get nothing except negligence.
Being positive is as important as being critically negative. If you're going to answer that with something your mom taught you, i have nothing to say to that except that i don't agree with that. Well an argument is meant to carry a prespective and the reasoning behind it. I don't think an argument can be considered as me forcing others to believe what i believe but an attempt to understanding what is believed.
I have nothing against the fact that you liked the drama but if you're going to ask people to stop being negative (because you think people are rating it low just because of the ending ship! Lol) just because you believe it isn't human or right to call fiction anything negative because it is rude! That doesn't even make sense.
The reviewers never sugar coated anything, atleast not from my prespective (and 80% of people who watched the show) but if you're going to put out a statement that they didn't address to it with logic and facts but something nonexistent, then there's literally no point to argue.
Maybe it's not just about who JJ ended up with but many things more. Start up and true beauty generated far more…
As fine and okay as it is to be subjective, there's nothing wrong being objective with constructive criticism on a show that's meant to generate a response. I don't know why calling it something bad or a mess would have me presumed "rude" by people who don't agree with me. This is a public forum and we have freedom of speech. I don't know why a good opnion is presumed better than a critical one. Everyone has the right to dislike or even hate it. If i am being reasonable as to why i consider it "garbage", a reason that maybe subjective or objective, it's in my right to say so on MDL if i want to.
If you want to know what the drama did wrong for me to consider a mess, then scroll down a little, i have explained it a 100 times, or better read the reviews as many of them have explained it better.
If this ends in eps 3, then the rating of this show surely will above 8. Lol. It's amusing to see Seon-oh crusaders…
Maybe it's not just about who JJ ended up with but many things more. Start up and true beauty generated far more famous second leads but you don't see those dramas getting a rating of 6.6 based on 6000+ responses. The ending ship never was the main problem, how the show handled the plot and characters always was.
Tbh, if a Hollywood romance is done well, they are way more realistic and have more impact than most Korean love…
Well people were praising it for the realism it tried to convey but what i felt was a failed attempt that led to nothing except mediocrity based on lies and nonsensical beliefs.
Well true beauty never really tried to be a hard chunk of realism, it always was about hope and optimism even at the expense of probable realism. It established its characters and followed the rules and characterization it set out from the beginning. Now i had a problem with the closure of SJ (2nd lead) but the rest was what it promised and led us to believe. They stayed with individualistic storylines far better than love alarm. The plot made sense more than love alarm and above all, i was made to care about the characters and they were interesting to watch. Love alarm didn't. I mean i don't have to explain what my problems were with the drama but it was nothing more than a mess for me. They used several characters for the convenience of the main romantic plot. The FL's transformation at the end literally was a joke. I mean talk about unrealistic scenarios. The character of HY had nothing to offer at all except that HE JUST LOVED JJ. SO wasn't even a proper character because he neither had a thing to offer to the story nor did he get a closure that would make sense. I DIDN'T BUY THE YJ AND SO ENDING, it was so hard to watch. The man didn't even feel attraction towards her but somehow we were shown that it was okay to believe in that just because it somehow showed that love is a choice even when it made zero sense. I mean neither their characters nor the plot was something i could engage with. It was a failure and a mess. I didn't for a second believe what the writers wanted me to believe. True beauty was far better at what it set out to achieve while Love alarm failed at that.
Well he needs dramas like Sweet Home and Navillera to exploit his full potential not a mess like love alarm. I'm glad he's done with that. Now can we talk about how much of an effort is he putting in! The man is literally working without a pause and i am here for it.
I really loved this episode and the drama is overall great. but I just wanted to say they did Junwoo's character…
Well, we never were hinted to believe that he would be anything other than a very violent person who gets people to do his bidding because his power (inheritance) allows him to do so. It never was actually about JJW vs VC, it was VC against corrupted power holders that happens to include JJW along with many more. They never were meant to equal based on individualistic abilities. JJW has the upper hand in the matters of power while VC holds the upper hand in terms of intellect and experience (courtesy of his past). I do feel that JJW could have been written a little more able but i think the writer was going for what we saw, intentionally. He's a person having psychopathic tendencies who happened to get tremendous amount of power from his father. Now he holds that position by utilising what he knows best, violence. "Power and violence", a very powerful combination that can invoke terror if used properly. Fear lets him be what he is. His character is of the notion that nothing matters infront of absolute power, neither knowledge nor intellect, power is power. You can accomplish a lot with that. I think that's realistic, different from usual and interesting as hell.
Although i had serious issues with how they used and ended HJP character, i loved the rest. I loved Dodal couple and i loved HJP. I never wanted HJP to end up with DM. He was a far different person and frankly i didn't buy the whole "love you because of letters even after 15 years" on DM's part. HJP didn't even remember her name and only fell for her after knowing how much she treasured the letters. I was completely on board with DM moving on, like common her feelings were infatuation based on obsession with the person in the letters (which was not even the real HJP). That being said, i absolutely hated how they used HJP whole character for the convenience of the main couple. He was such a great character and could have been used for a far better goal to accomplish, both character and plot wise but the writer was hell bent on stretching the love triangle to the point where HJP feelings for DM didn't make sense anymore. Well that was my issue with the show but overall it was a pretty good watch. I was afraid to watch it because of the reviews (and i hate love triangles) but it was pretty good when i tried to see things from all their prespectives.
I'm pretty sure that this is the calm before the storm. I mean VC is still going at their pace (JJW and HCY) and not being a vicious mafia consigliere we saw in episode 1 (where he shoots people in the head and cuts people ears without even blinking). He will require a stimulus to be what he can be and JJW will provide that either by harming his mom or HCY, my money is on the former. Fiery Priest (written by the same writer) did the same thing. VC will have to make a choice, a choice between doing what can fulfill his need to vent the anger (killing JJW) and going by the books to stay with HCY. I don't think he can kill some like JJW without paying a price and i think price will be his happiness (HCY and people around him). If he chooses or is compelled to choose (by HCY) to go by the book so that he can stay with her, I'm all for it. I think they deserve each other and i think probable realism where VC has to die (because he has killed) or be separated from her (because the situations wouldn't allow it) is not something that would fit in the context of the drama, besides it would provide closures to their arcs and characters. JJW will push him to make a choice, a choice that'll reveal the real him. It's just a mystery as to whether he'll choose to be the old him or someone who can change for the better. Let's face it, he's a sad person who never really knew happiness or satisfaction, those are powerful stimulants to bring a change in someone who never felt any of it. I don't think it's bad or cliche if he did change because realistically people do change when the situations propell enough. HCY is changing enough for revenge and to be able to fit in his world, i think VC can change too just enough to be able to fit in hers. I am a hopelessly optimistic and romantic but i think everyone should be when required.
The ending pretty much ruined the whole experience for me. It was unrealistic, unearned and pretty much a bad way to give closure to the issues under discussion (infidelity, lack of commitment and wrong choices). Well it's korean drama written by writers to put out an ending (not a closure), so i can maybe understand why they would put emphasis on an ending that's not what the FL deserves.
So people loved the FL from "It's okay not to be okay" but hate the ML here even when the FL there was seriously a much more messed up person! These double standards are annoying. Anyway this drama is freaking awesome. The characters are human and flawed but they learn. They have development that present to me a lot more as a person than characters who are angels and straight as an arrow. Give it a chance.

Everyone just conveniently ignored all those when praising the drama like it was a masterpiece.
Anyway this drama is freaking awesome. The characters are human and flawed but they learn. They have development that present to me a lot more as a person than characters who are angels and straight as an arrow. Give it a chance.
I'm glad you can move on from this mess.
"Run on" was great!
