lol. I waited until it finished airing before binge watching too. I’m so glad I waited…. It would have been…
Gosh. I thought of the exact same thing. I felt the first 15 episodes or so were a bit….. I wouldn’t call it boring per se but I thought it was a bit slow… yes! I realised this was a comedy after, it was hilarious!! I was crying and laughing at the same time.
I finished it in like 2 days. I finished around the same time as you yest.
This is actually a comedy….. it’s super funny, I laughed and cried at the same time….. Gosh this series was really well written and production is amazing…..
You may want to continue with Doulou Continent - very similar genre. i'm only at episode 3 of this drama and between…
Ah…. Now that you mention, yes… I have a vague recollection that there was some key…. I just remembered clearly that I was shocked and perplexed with the ending. And she took something from him, I thought it was the ring.
In the novel she does, apparently she has remained faithful via the entire novel and ended up being his ultimate wife….? Or the main wife… I can’t read Chinese but I think that’s wot it roughly translates to.
Looks like season 2 even if it happens will be an entirely different cast, which is dumb….. 😔

Yea I did some digging and he has like multiple wives, specifically only 2 but like dalliances with a few….
Apparently she has been spying on him all along… at least it seemed to be the case in the novel but the person who posted didn’t mention why. Ah I see, yes fair point. I thought of it yesterday too like she perhaps really thought he was dead.
Huh but I thought she took the ring in the last episode? No? Probably I remembered wrongly, watched it a while back. Wasn’t he in the cave and she took the ring away?
Have to admit that it’s one of the most logical war-historical (albeit mixed with fiction) C-dramas I’ve ever watched… and the plot was crafted in such a smart way. Also not too convoluted unlike some other works I.e The Longest day in Chang An.
I think it was a great choice to use Dylan's own voice for the body swapped parts, cuz his voice is more high…
Oooo… so the post body-swapped one was his voice…. I see. Yea I did deduce it, but was merely a deduction. YES…. Really have to credit that voice actor for his dubbing… totally gave the character a lot more depth… and the voice actor was able to convey a lot of nuances.
aahh they are so cute!! but am I the only one who feels bad for chang heng? I feel like I have a 2nd lead syndrome…
They chose a worthy 2nd lead, which totally makes sense. Yay!!… I’ve seen some dramas and I can’t even relate to all the drama wrt the 2nd lead…. Totally illogical, not only that… some of the 2nd leads have such poor acting skills. 😔ruins the flow of the entire series.
I really have to say regardless of his previous works….. Dylan Wang really displayed his acting capabilities/potential/range here….
Like wow… I’m sure the cameraman + director + production team also contributed but like..,. He did well here… from being a girl to being a devil to the breakdown scene…. That’s not exactly easy… and the production team here was good in the sense dubbing here makes a lot of sense… and the voice actors did a really good job, I can’t tell if one of them is his own voice but there should be 2 different people, which was a necessity.
The episodes are getting better and better, the story is grippingactors are definately delivering their bestwhy…
I thought it was actually to do with the body switching thingy…coz the moment it happened the 2nd time, immediately the MDL rating became lower after the episodes were aired….
Because apparently people are hating on the FL's voice. Tbh it would rather be weird if she had a mature adult…
It would be so weird….. yea I don’t think the voice is annoying at all… coz she’s smart in the sense she speaks softer but not a higher pitch when she’s trying to be gentle/cute so it’s really not annoying….
