They finally decided to consistently sub this….. over the moon… this is so good!! So meaningful and insightful.. I always gain more wisdom after watching an episode.👏🏻

This actually surprised me, I found it good/enjoyable although I generally despise war movies…. The way they weaved the romance bit into actual history deserves some praise.
It makes it plausible, believable as much as it was just a fictional account. The romance was depicted quite naturally, without really overshadowing the war/gore/history..

I had the same dilemma. The problem lies with the first 4-5 episodes, which is a lot considering it’s only 12 episodes. The story only really starts around episode 5-6. I spse that is also why the rating is really low because most people drop it by then.
The ‘serious’ side of the plot is actually really good, I wished they gave that the primary focus from the start. I don’t really know why the first 4-5 episodes had an eccentric focus/theme…. Which kinda was………. Ok….? It came off a little odd… I kinda forgot about this drama actually.. I just continued it casually/for fun.
Off topic of plot, but did anyone else notice the child actor from TLB and TBW here too? He's really growing into…
I did! 🙋🏼♀️ but I also noticed a lot of child actors growing up ‘exponentially’ in the past 2 yrs. Probably the difference between filming vs airing/release time…? Anyways, damns, kids really change so much every yr.
Loving this so far…. But her helper…. Lol. Or the FL’s childhood ‘pu Ren’/‘nu bi’ legit talks a lot….. lol. Randomly. 😳 Peng Xiao Ran is really brought the character to life… I don’t know, don’t find her super beautiful but somehow she just makes you want to ‘be with her’…

Lol, good quote for Immortal Samsara as an analogy…. I watched the first arc and literally ended up being shocked until my jaw-dropped. I dropped it after it went into the mortal arc… the difference was just too extreme/abrupt.
I paused this one at 29 eps because I had a feeling the last arc will go into 50 shades of crazy… so I wanted to wait until all eps completed. Reading all the latest comments again… and taking a peek at the last ep… it does become very odd. Going to just drop this and stop at the memory of 29 eps. Sighs, sad. It was sooooo good in the first 29 eps.
Totally can’t wait for that to unfold…. But more importantly…. How on Earth is she going to sort everything…

Ah, the names…. That’s the thing about the Chinese language… wot I meant is…. Uh… because of the 1 character vs multi-character thing… so like I only know of Feng Huang = phoenix… lol. And hence why I can’t recognise names in movies/shows as well even when they verbally say it. There is no difference to me… thus initially I was like Yun Xiang… huh wait, isn’t that the name of the sect. Shitz no. That’s Yun Tai…. Uhhh… 🤔 and Guanghui Zhuang… why on Earth is Zhuang = Bank? It is so not true….. when it is a standalone character, how am I spsed to know that’s the name of a bank?!? 🤣
Like John has no meaning in English. I mean names are usually a variation of Greek, Hebrew, Latin words with meaning to it. But there is no such thing as variation in meaning of one alphabet vs. Words… and there is no direct meaning to John.

Gosh, I loved JoL…. The overall cast is VERY important. Yeap, twists and wild/odd-ball, my type of thing! I really liked SSS too. Also amazing casting. Ah, I didn’t know about the plot thingy. That’s unfortunate….. but SSS was shorter than JoL by quite a bit, so I spse it’s no surprise.
I usually turn to the novels because the curiosity kills me. BUT for these kinda strategy themed ones I don’t coz I’m really bad with Chinese names, I can’t remember them…. So I won’t be able to tell A from B like midway of the novel already. 🙇🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I was thinking of reading this one as well to spoil the ending for myself… but there isn’t a complete Eng translation.

Lol, I’ve not come across sucha intricate and multi-dimensional plot ever since Joy of Life… it truly excites me. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 It’s not the exact same feeling as JoL… but it is a solid contender. SSS didn’t match up in terms of plot for me, but it did in other sense….
