I personally liked this better than the double I think I watched the double up to ep 5-6. I feel like it was boring…
Same. But I also think it’s coz the whole revenge theme has been overproduced in the past 3 yrs……. Be it Kdrama or Cdrama….. The Double was like a pure revenge drama from start to end, so I can understand why you dropped it at ep5-6. I remember rolling my eyes towards the end of the drama too, coz revenge as a main genre is exhausting….
I loved this coz it’s not really a revenge drama, revenge was just a sub-plot, it only started around ep20, a lot of the plot and characters’ perspective were quite refreshing and unique. Actually I don’t think the romance is any less here than in The Double, but it’s just coz everyone in this drama is very self-centered including both the ML and FL, that’s why the romance becomes less “dreamy” and lovey-dovey…… Most Cdramas romance is always about self-sacrificing, i.e I can die for you any day etc.
Totally agree……….. the most amazing antagonist I’ve came across in a romance themed drama…… but I’ve…
Ummmm not exactly like that, coz he broke a lot of laws in the drama including murder etc……. So this doesn’t happen in modern day times, at least I’ve never met someone that murdered anyone else, yikes….
but you know the main trait of the father in the sense he is such a softie, polite, gentle and docile character yet he actually always finds a scapegoat whenever he does something that makes him have a bad name/image…. Like everything is always everyone’s fault because theoretically he didn’t do anything directly himself…. In a way I do think these kinda people are very scary….. actually I’ve met a few people like that in real life, just the extent of it differs… hence I can understand when Zhuang HanYan asked him in the end if he loved anyone aside from himself….
this drama has the best villain I had seen! Daddy is a monster, not sure if human. What a great role and fantastic…
Totally agree……….. the most amazing antagonist I’ve came across in a romance themed drama…… but I’ve actually met people like the father before in real life, of course I don’t know of them breaking any law…
His speech in Ep 27 was probably one of the most romantic things I’ve heard as a confession without saying “I…
lol, their relationship is really funny…. Super consistent right up to the end…… even with love there is no trust. 🤣🤣🤣 I actually think the screenwriter injected a lot of modern day thinking into the characters….. but this is probably the most brutal romance themed drama I’ve watched. I’m surprised it actually passed censorship……
I have to say, the actor playing the horrible dad is a great actor. His portrayal of this type of person is def…
He was the star of the show, if the actor for this role couldn’t deliver the acting bit, the drama wouldn’t have been so engaging……
I actually think his role was a parody to the society today… his expressions were so……. Realistic….. thank goodness he didn’t go for an exaggerated performance
it was perfect in the remaining episodes where Hanyan was willing to forget her revenge just to save Fu Yunxi,…
His speech in Ep 27 was probably one of the most romantic things I’ve heard as a confession without saying “I love you”…. Actually it was super touching….
this is not a romance and it's for sure is writing from fl point of view too and it's centric around her ,how…
Because the original novel’s major theme is romance… this: ‘Adapted from the web novel "The Reborn Noble Girl Is Hard to Find" (重生之贵女难求) by Qian Shan Cha Ke (千山茶客)’
The fact that you didn’t think it was romance is already a testament to it….
Writing from a specific pov isn’t necessarily defined by/limited to the actual/real person behind the pen or the keyboard….
For example: I could be a female writing a novel from a male pov, centered around a ML… but that will never be a ‘real’ male pov, it is purely a female envisioning wot a male’s perspective is like, even if she was visualising…
"The sequel to Princess Agents is titled Rebirth From Ice Lake (楚乔传2:冰湖重生). It is a Chinese drama…
Ok, then the entire change of cast isn’t going to help. Probably need to read some episode summary as a refresher. I just checked the original one has 67 eps….. there’s no way I’m rewatching that coz I also remember I didn’t like it in the 2nd half…
The trailer is super crazy. The budget and the level of cinematography is insane……. Defo surprised coz the cast isn’t like the super famous line of actors…. Looks like the producers are trying to promote a younger, relatively lesser known cast…
Oooo… the really crazy princess from The Double is here. She was awesome in that role… I don’t remember anyone crazier than her in dramaland, but at the same time also so believable…
But if this is a direct sequel to Princess Agents then the entire change of cast is super annoying….. I don’t even remember the entire plot of the original one anymore… it’s been so long….
Baron Chen’s character is so interesting…. I still can’t tell if he’s up to no good. It seems like there’s some deep seated hatred lurking beneath his indifferent exterior…..
I'm only at ep2. Her makeup seems odd, so white. Is this how the actress likes her makeup or is it due to the…
I actually think she looks a lot like Qin Lan in this drama….. and she didn’t remind me of Qin Lan in the past….
It’s either the make up or minor cosmetic procedures, or a combination of both…. Nowadays with the level of makeup techniques, it’s actually really difficult to tell….
I actually think the FL’s character and perspective here is very refreshing, and to some extent I wish I could be more like her…..
it also shows men and women think and react very differently. The screenwriter is a young guy which is super rare, there are hardly any male screenwriters that cover the romance genre….. Most romance dramas and novels are written from the female point of view….
Someone needs to study Sung Seong Heon’s lifestyle and genetics…. I believe genetics is a big factor…. He basically hasn’t really aged…. For like 2 decades….. it’s like super minimal….
