Damn, the storyline is so interesting and refreshing…. Finally NOT a revenge themed plot… yay!! am so glad the cast and the production crew managed to adapt and execute this properly….
The plot has been so smart, some of the dialogue is very memorable and thought provoking…. Most unique thing about the plot is nobody is a nice person and nobody is a pure protagonist…. lol, I love it…. For the first time I think the FL has a really grey character, like an anti-hero…
Let”s hope that this gets better and better as the plot progresses…..
Super intense….. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a romance themed historical Cdrama which starts off so…
Oh yes! I loved the monologue too! I thought the voiceover was very natural and very fitting….
I’m not really a big fan of revenge themed dramas mostly because it doesn’t apply to the modern day real life, I find it difficult to relate to, and neither do I find it that entertaining to watch….. I mean I totally understand the whole revenge mentality, I believe it’s part of human nature…. But most people are too consumed by other things in life now than to be bothered to actually carry out some over-the-top revenge plan…. 🤣 extreme revenge does happen in real life but it will be carried out in a day. Or like a week… not like something which you’d spend your entire life on….

Ah really? But it seems like they excluded the reborn element of this in the TV adaptation…. Interesting…. But tbh I thought The Double didn’t progress as well as I expected….. I felt it started with a strong premise and sort of became an okay drama as it went along, mostly because there were just too many revenge dramas released over the past 2 yrs…. It kinda just became another one….

I just figured out why a second ago…. Both have the same author of the novel it is adapted from….
I thought it reminded me of The Double too, but I didn’t find The Double’s first episode that intense, coz the FL was too….. innocent? Like she was an outright protagonist just like in most dramas, and the typical super pure innocent dude seeking for revenge….. but in this one, in the first episode…. Everyone did something “evil” including the FL, like I still find her role in this very grey…. I love this one a lot more, like nobody is purely“good”…… and thank goodness, the whole revenge trope is very subtle, almost non-existent…. It’s actually a lot more realistic, hence the intensity….
Super intense….. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a romance themed historical Cdrama which starts off so intense and so dark…. It’s also because of Chen Du Ling’s eyes… her gaze makes her fall right in the grey area, like “is she a protagonist, is she an antagonist?” kinda role….
Wow. The use of blockchain is super smart, blockchain itself is such a groundbreaking technology, more so for non-crypto related fields…. It’s already being used outside of cryptocurrency but the applications are not widely utilised or known yet….
Even I didn’t know about the characteristics the analyst mentioned in Ep.3….. so interesting!
This drama has moved in such a positive direction since Ep.1.. totally didn’t enjoy Ep.1…..
1)The background music during the meetings was probably the most annoying thing I've ever heard as a movie/drama…
The bgm man…. I’m like just about to get into the plot with serious focus and the bgm just starts blazing at the most inappropriate moment and I forgot wot on Earth I was concentrating on. LOL, it’s the most distracting and random bgm….. ever…. This is like a white-collared themed series and the bgm is meant for thrillers, mysteries…
Par for the course with Ahn Pan-seok dramas I fear
I’m just surprised Lee Je Hoon agreed to star in this. He usually has a knack for choosing really good scripts/productions…
sighs, am sad though, I work in the M&A sector was really looking forward to this… It’s only 1 episode in, so will have to see but the 1st episode wasn’t as great as I’d hope it’ll be….
Ahn Pan Seok doesn’t seem to have a good track record, none of his previous dramas are highly rated.
This deserves a much higher score…. It’s amazing, and I finally understood why they call him a genius…. He is, in the F&B business…. And damn man, his mentality…. I can see why he built such a successful empire, the jokbal incident really made me realise, “woah………” it ‘s all about mental strength and keeping calm at all times….
Not only that, the brilliant idea of hiring two local waitress was amazing, they were such genuine assistants!!!
Wow, Shin Shi Ah’s English is really good for someone who learns on her own…. I’ve never watched anything she’s in before, but excited to watch her in Resident Playbook…
Luckily they casted someone who speaks decent English, otherwise poor Edward Lee will be like lost half the time…. 🤣🤣🤣
This is surprisingly reallllyyyy good, there are so many food themed programmes like these produced by S.Korea, this one is slightly different…. Like it’s good that they found their own way to stand out….
Ok, considering the screenwriters historical track record, totally not surprised this turned out the way it did….. wot a waste on such a refreshing theme…
Sorry but Zhang Yi’s acting here is so….. forced, and some serious exaggeration/OTT in a few scenes…. Like it literally makes me break my concentration, kinda annoying…..

Surprisingly it’s on gimy with subtitles…
