I’m surprised they managed to outdo S1 as well. Almost every aspect of the drama is great. Like pacing, wardrobe,…
Yea, it’s not really hanging, I mean the ending isn’t like S1… so the only thing they didn’t give a proper closure to is the romance, so it can be simple open ending…. All the plots have been closed.

Yea I searched too…. But S3 isn’t planned for…. So with China’s culture, it’s unlikely for it to happen. S2’s announcement came like almost immediately after S1 ended…. So let’s see…. It will depend on the producers….

I finished it… so I would say they left a possibility for an S3…. But it wasn’t an explicit one like S1 i.e all the major plots have been closed out, I hope there is an S3 too!! This season surpassed all my expectations…
Oh my gosh… Ep. 32! I’ve waited 2 seasons just for that to happen. The production team executed it flawlessly…. I’m in love!! ❤️❤️😍😍 The episodes are getting better and better towards the end!
On Ep. 24 and it continues to be everything and more of what Season 1 gave us. I am actually hoping they are filming…

But I think S2 is probably the final one though, because of the Mei Da Liang overarching plot. It will definitely close in this season. I actually think they did S1 knowing very well that it will run into a S2 just to fully and reasonably let this arc play out. Chen Shuo being the one who discovered it was perfect! Such a smart thought.
Gosh. This is SOOO good. Like it tops Season 1, but to be fair it’s also because of all the character building and overarching plot carried over from Season 1 that provided Season 2 with so much more depth and layers in the plot.
Have to say the screenwriter is amazing… and thank goodness for the realistic wardrobe and set.
I will probably change my rating from 9 to 9.5 depending on how they wrap this up….. It’s probably the best legal Cdrama I’ve watched. Loved all the realistic, detailed and thought provoking cases as well as well as the romance weaved in. I actually think the whole romance bit is very believable and their chemistry is great!
Luo Ying Zhi and Chen Shuo….. gosh…. So cute and equally frustrating, poor Chen Shuo…. After 2 seasons…. Finally LYZ is forced to be honest with herself in the recent episodes….
Also special shoutout to the school bullying case. A lesson well learnt for all the viewers on how to use the law to protect yourself even when it seems bleak and specific law clauses have yet to be introduced for “newer crimes”.
Hated everything about this medical drama, as per usual for most medical themed Cdramas, BUT I have to admit that the medical cases that they depicted and chose was very very realistic and rarely shown in medical dramas. Topics like post-disaster issues in the hospital such as cross-contamination in the wards, AMR spread which I never knew existed, etc….
And I really really dislike the FL, whether it’s the character, or the actress or both I don’t know… but I think this is probably one of the top 3 FLs I dislike in all the dramas I’ve watched… lol. It becomes a little more bearable in the 2nd half of the drama….
Honestly loved how the siblings relationship was depicted here, it really makes you question if blood relation, something which is the core of Chinese culture, is really that important in defining what a family truly means…. It’s a theme rarely explored in Cdramas..
Ok, Hu Ge and his love interest is really….. not a good match…. Like in all aspects, Hu Ge and that actress are so awkward around one another, it gets a wee bit better after a couple of scenes, but damns, it’s so bad…..
like everything is off. lol. She was defo the wrong actress to be paired with him… it feels like she’s a very green actress for one, visually and chemistry wise is also a pretty bad match. Had to fast forward every time they are on screen….. and the worst part of all is there are quite a bit of scenes with the both of them…..
Ok, the last 3-4 episodes were quite the mess, and the FL just crying frequently is a bit off…. Like crying that much on a job is just…… a weird contrast in comparison to the previous episodes…..
Wow, the webtoon author is an actual ENT surgeon….
This drama is amazing, like eyes glued to the screen for 8 episodes straight, very well written and I loved all the surgical scenes. Korean dramas are at the forefront for medical genres because the surgical scenes are so realistic and detailed! Defo at par with Hollywood productions… Ju Ji Hoon was a good choice, a believable real life eccentric genius surgeon. Not too good looking, old enough but also very charming, and he owned the character…. I totally loved all the little details he embedded into his embodiment of the character…..
It’s been a while since Dr.Romantic, been longing for good medical Kdramas! Thanks for this!!!
