No, not in the novel… the novel is extremely short actually….

It was more than that in the novel…. The entire thing is quite twisted…. But then at the same time it makes you think that there are people like that in reality…. And also, maybe it was because the author is an actual lawyer, the plot is very modern day, realistic, detailed and almost like something factual that is happening in Mainland China…..? I don’t know…. Elvira Cai has been in a few dramas which are similar in terms of plot or role…. But most of them are quite dramatic, or like not executed well, but this one is just different….

The novel this drama was based on was brutal…. ultra realistic, unnerving. The author is also a lawyer, I wonder if this is a semi-autobiography…… 🤔 if it is it’s really ultra sad.

Shitz, Feng Shao Feng in this role is like….. eerily scary coz his face really…… I mean, just his entire being makes it so believable….. 😳😳😳 like even I can’t tell when he is lying and when he actually means it, but isn’t the entire marriage a lie then…..? 🤔

I mean loving a person like that fine, it’s out of your control…. Call it fate or woteva…. But then how on Earth does one live with this kinda person??? Is it not….. like scary? I think I would be anxious 24-7…. because he just isn’t a kind person, he will always choose himself when there is a conflict of interest…. In a way TQZ is a better fit for him in the long run because they are similar in many ways…..

I’m amazed and glad Park Shin Hye made this role relatively believable, her expressions were just the right dose of drama and exaggeration without me rolling my eyes but instead finding it quite amusing. She reminds me of some real life people around me actually… 🤣

The boy agreed to end things when she broke the news to him, I found that so realistic…. And I and equally surprising, I thought it would have been the typical plot whereby he stays with her…..

The author died too………….. the novel apparently emulates her own life, I never knew about PAH, I thought the plot was just fiction…. So damn sad…. Maybe that’s why:

I finally understood why I thought he was good looking, I don’t find any of the new generation Japanese actors/celebs good looking or charming….. he does look like a fair version of Gong Yoo actually…. It’s the facial proportions and his hair…

Thanks for this. Ok, just to give some context, I find it bizarre that Rakshasa street is within Requeim street……… I mean in English that just makes no sense. Why not call it Requeim district/division…..? I kept wondering what a Requeim general is. lol, and why there are so many streets…. I mean just the summary below saves me a ton of headache:

Anyone can tell me where I can read on the background and relationships between different clans? I’m kinda confused though with all those realm names and clan/factions.

The themes and storyline of this was ultra solid and unique!! It was excellent actually. My eyes were just glued to the screen for the first 15 episodes. This should definitely have been about 8.3 to 8.5 per MDL’s gauge! WTH…

And the ending is fineeee….. it’s always expected with these kinda Mainland dramas due to censorship.

I was so so disappointed with Judge Dee. I waited agesss for it to get aired coz I’m a big fan of Zhou Yi Wei and it looked like it had a high budget. I dropped it halfway although I love Judge Dee stories in general, so sad. I miss Zhou Yi Wei being on-screen……. 😢
