The convos are ultra funny but I loved the conversation they had at his house, at his dining table. I loved how…
I’ve never really witnessed anything close to any of the things depicted in Kdramas… I mean name calling, being verbally mean, boys fighting etc…. Yea, I’ve witnessed them and it happens everywhere, it has existed eons ago. It is all part of growing up and going to school…. For me, it never even crossed my mind to bully anyone…. I mean you just don’t have the time and a normal person would never even think of doing that….

But like literally ganging up and beating a person until they land up in hospital or like with broken bones… or like frequent extortion etc. this is just ultra crazy on a different level. And the most bizarre thing is there is no reason for it aside from that person being shy, quiet, a loner etc. gosh. How is this a norm….. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But that convo showed that Jae Min has no remorse, and in no way thinks it’s his mistake……. I typically avoid these kinda Kdramas because I don’t really understand the sadistic nature although I know it happens frequently in S.Korea.

Just reading this…. Is madness…. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/07/we-torment-others-the-dark-side-of-south-korean-school-life-bullying-school-violence

lol. I meant Jae Min has low IQ… let me edit my post to reflect it….

Yea, it does look like it’s a norm in their schools. I mean it’s crazy, why do they do it…..?? I mean all schools in every country have bullying of some form, but it’s usually never a norm…. This is madness. After watching this I think the moral of the story is all high school kids in S.Korea should attend martial arts classes. 🤣🤣🤣 esp studious/quiet kids….

OMG I rarely see people who also have pineapple allergy… it’s so unexpected to see it here haha
I’ve actually met someone allergic to oranges…. Like his reaction is also swelling up of the esophagus… so he carries an epi-pen… I remembered this vividly because I thought it was sooooo strange that someone is only allergic to only oranges. I remembered asking him if he was allergic to lemons, lime etc….

Jae Min: Caramel Macchiato? I guess it's Japanese. Also Jae Min: You were trying to kill me back there, weren't…
The convos are ultra funny but I loved the conversation they had at his house, at his dining table. I loved how they depicted the entire conversation, flashbacks on the bullying…. No ounce of remorse…. Also how Kim Deuk Pal stands his ground and lectures him, it was very realistic….. Jae Min might have a low IQ… but empathy, remorse, regret has nothing to do with that….

Makes you wonder how bad the bullying situation is in S.Korean schools…. So manyyyy K-dramas are based on bullying themes…

Damns…. This is good, I thought it would be a makjang which would just be a trashy watch…. But by Ep2 it was obvious that it hints at a very interesting plot. I love how they made it quite eccentric…. only thing which I felt was kinda off is the ML…. His chemistry just isn’t great with the FL…. Defo not as a married couple….

lol, don’t you think he’d make an awesome and equally annoying auditor in modern day……? 🤣🤣🤣
Yea he does, coz that’s how he understood the meaning behind the books he read to be…. And I don’t think his father was a good guide/teacher given he himself couldn’t progress after the first “siucai”…

A great scholar? Defo no. He makes a good constable or auditor though…… but is this kinda person a good or bad person…..? I actually found him to be neutral/in the middle right from the start….. more than finding him to be a good guy, I actually found him to be annoying…. Because to some extent I felt he lacked empathy….

My jaw really dropped… lol. I mean the Manchu hairstyle is really very uhhhh….. challenging for most men…. 🤣 coz they can’t hide behind their hairstyle anymore…. Everything is ultra exposed like the shape of their head etc…..

Ah, to be fair I’ve never watched him in anything else…. I’ve only watched him once prior and I totally remembered him which is rare… I wanted to watch his other works but all the MDL scores are so bad….

Exactly! Which is all fine and even great when everything is stable, like in a developed society….

I find it to be a physical appearance thing, and also the way he fights although Jet Li was a real wushu artist……. Coz I was quite shocked when they showed him in the last scene…. In the modern haircut. I was like 😳 wot happened….. he looks so…… 🤔 not charming…… 🤣

Is it true that the character Wang Jia Luo became a bad person in the end? I thought he was among the 'heroes',…
I think a better way to put it is he is someone who is great at memorising all the books and wisdom of sages but he never truly understood the philosophy and true meaning behind them…. he has been like that since the 1st episode….. and so he becomes his own biggest enemy in times of uncertainty and change…..
