I do miss seeing Seo In Guk playing such character, reminds me of Prince Louis :)However I just realised i'm dragging…
Yea. I felt it too around Episode 10⦠everything was done right though aside from the romance bitā¦. But just something is always amiss when it came together⦠no idea if itās the pacing or editing or just chemistryā¦. The ideas are pretty good but 18 episodes is probably too longā¦. 12-13 would have been much better. I just skipped to the last episode, considered dropped⦠Even the twist and the villains were good, but just everything somehow falls flat after the first 2-3 episodes⦠like nothing really hooks you.
The romance chemistry and pairing was just so bad. Like completely 0 and flat⦠the concept was good though⦠a fake shaman relying on technology and dataā¦. But like the execution wasnāt greatā¦.. although ML did a pretty good job⦠something was always off.
They totally should have this subbed. Itās even better than My Little Old Boy⦠I think itās partially coz itās still quite new and refreshingā¦.
man wtf why did 3 of the main actors have to leave... unlike everyone else i was rly enjoying the drama and looking…
Exactly. I was so pissed, annoyed and turned off for the first few episodes. The replacements were so bad and a downgradeā¦. But S3 ended up being super exciting/fun to watch because this is where the āgood were rewardedāā¦.. and that felt good man.
Damn⦠this makjang is so trashy but itās so damn good. The cast was so good. Even the kids/teenagers⦠As dramatic and trashy it was, some of the dialogue really made sense and it was very realistic in various aspectsā¦. why on Earth did they change the cast for S3ā¦.. š”š”š”
Its not because its a much older production but because Joy of Life is a lot more fun and funnier but maintain…
Thatās true, but I think itās partially coz Mainlandās production was kinda behind esp back then, so they probably werenāt that open and creative yet when it comes plots and themesā¦. Even now the creativity bit still has a lot of room for improvementā¦
But seriously the development and progress the past 5 yrs has been exponential for the Mainland productions. Like itās super apparent in all aspects⦠CGI, storyline, color grading, wardrobe etc.
Why on Earth did they change the castā¦. ššššššš”š”š” and Iām sorry to say this but the replacements didnāt fill in the large shoesā¦..
Lee Tae Gon and the actress who was his stepmother was the perfect cast, their chemistry was off the charts and itās actually believableā¦. Lee Tae Gon looks entirely like the role⦠lol. Like if he liesā¦.. youād just fall for his charm just because of his face+gaze⦠𤣠WHYYYYY did they change that actorā¦??? I wanted to watch him on the receiving end in S3!!! Ughhhhhhhh!!! Even Seung Hoon⦠could totally see why they paired him with that wife/ex-wife, they look visually stunning on-screen. Just like some couples in real life. All the replacements were epic fail.
Seo Ban is so damn sweet and coolā¦. šš his story kinda reminds me of Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu in real life, itās seriously quite similar. The most surprising thing is Barbie Hsuās ex-husband reacted the exact same way like how it was portrayed in this series. Makjang aside, I actually think the whole infidelity + couple situations + family dialogues + wisdom are quite realistic and was very thought-provoking. Love the Seo Ban couple the most because itās really plausible and realisticā¦.
Really sad that there isnāt a Season 4 given the crazy extreme ending.
Agree. Why arenāt they togetherā¦. So he really doesnāt fancy her at allā¦ā¦.? š¤
Yea I thought about it too on why they wrapped the other one so conclusively and was also very sweet and just let this oneā¦.. uhhhhhhhā¦. š¤š¤š¤š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļøš¤·āāļøšš»āāļøšš»āāļøšš»āāļø
I wish it was seasonal. Wasnāt an open ending, the closed it BUT would still totally work as seasonalā¦
1. No love triangle at all 2. Uhhhhh depends which leads, canāt remember the exact episodes but pretty late in the series. Like around episode 10. 3. No, noneā¦. 4. Yeap.
Uhh, your questions are a bit odd for this drama thoughā¦. It isnāt exactly the typical romance series. I mean there is a very touching one at the endā¦. But the main theme isnāt actually about the couples getting togā¦. š¤ itās quite a unique series, difficult to describe⦠but there arenāt many like heart wrenching, fluttering moments like the typical romance seriesā¦. It completely isnāt the focus of the series at all⦠itās basically closer to the genres they tagged above in the Details section, there isnāt even Romance mentionedā¦.
This was surprisingly quite good. They were quite smart to keep it short at 8 episodes⦠itās not like a hit but worth the watch at least⦠and it is quite exciting+engagingā¦
Yea. Ideally you should. There is some form of continuation.
Hahaha. Yes, it took me quite a while to realise that both the series have a Fatty⦠I was so confused coz I watched like Candle in the Tomb in random orderā¦.. and I was like Shitz. No wonder I got confused.
Yea, so the thing about Candle in the Tomb is the main plot is quite straightforwardā¦. It is basically like Indiana Jones storyline but for tomb raiding. Itās mostly about trying to lift the curse. So there arent any āgreyā elements unlike Daomu Biji whereby there are borderline plots I.e open-ended questions on some of the characters on whether they are fully human (I believe this is so it doesnāt get censored/banned in Mainland)ā¦. And the plots are a lot more complicated and convoluted with no true main plot.
Damn⦠this was really good⦠and kudos to the scriptwriter⦠the dialogues and also a lot of the scenarios were very realistic⦠regardless of onesā sexual preferencesā¦
