Lol. It was the same for me but you need to get to about episode 20… it was good coz it allowed me to drop it…
Lol why don’t you mix it in with FF…. Honestly it was very good… 🤓 so this is one of the rare few C-dramas whereby it builds momentum and it gets better as the story progresses… most C-dramas have a strong start and becomes crazy with some weird plot…
Lol. That is definitely a questionable fashion moment there…. 🤣🤣 esp with the whole casual T-Shirt and…
That is totally fine… it is just the combo with that very interesting pair of slippers that makes it…… uhhhh…. I think they can both look good…. Separately… the slippers are like the ones they use for fashion shoots in men’s magazines….
Lol. But I read the comments and even posted to rant and I was told by other MDL members that it apparently happens with all xianxias…. I wonder if I’m being conned. 🤔
How about we have a little discussion………. Let’s say everything happened as per the drama up to the part…
Nothing…… so I felt the only logical way out here is time… some time needs to past. Maybe not 5 yrs…. But at least 2-3 yrs…. But I also felt they condensed the ending too much and he didn’t do enough to win her back….
Think probably persistence and consistency….. though the way it was done in the drama is also pretty sensible…. In the sense forgiveness, if it was ever going to happen, would have came immediately to a person when facing life-and-death situations…. Like you will never ever see this person anymore in this lifetime….
I started watching LLTG for Zhao Lusi but man is Wu Lei dreamy...
Yes, I’m super surprised……. Did you watch Nirvana in Fire? He looks like a baby Keroppi there 🤣, never would I have imagined him to be one dashing man….. like seriously it’s far from wot one would call handsome.
I noticed him in The Long Ballad already and was damn surprised…. Men really change so much from 15 to 25….
Coz even in Tomb of Sea I never thought he was charming….
Beautiful drama excellent acting best chinese drama I've ever watch the acting is phenomenal whenever Lusi cry…
Zhao Lu Si can really cry… I came to that conclusion recently by chance because I rewatched Who Rules the World and The Long Ballad…. Damns…. When she cries it is just so sad…. I feel so sad…….. 😭 like the whole world has ended…
How far are you in Minglan? Who is your otp?If you enjoyed SOM. You'll probably enjoy LLTG. It's very slow burn…
I don’t actually think it is a direct comparison to Story of Ming Lan… I was quite surprised to find out that they had the same author! The only dead giveaway was the whole female perspective of marriage, specifically choosing a husband… which I don’t think I’ve come across in any other dramas, not that I remember…. So that is kinda unique…. I think both are worth watching because this one is actually kinda a different genre…. The closest description I can think of is it’s basically The Story of Ming Lan crossed with Nirvana in Fire…
Ah also…… this one is definitely more of an emotional roller coaster vs SoML… I remembered I didn’t cry even one bit in SoML… it’s kinda different actually.
i have not watched this drama as yet but i was watching the trailer and it seems like the drama i would cry for
I was surprised I cried quite a bit…... I thought I was already immune given how I even started watching C-dramas because of the pandemic…. And I ended up watching a lot…… so I came to the conclusion that Zhao Lu Si can really cry…. Lol like when she does crying scenes they are just so sad……
Ok give me 3 distinct, and powerful reasons why this show is worth watching and not like other dramas I’ve seen…
Just to be clear because I have no idea wot genre you’ve classified this under…. It’s basically Story of Ming Lan cross with Nirvana in Fire…. With tiny bits of similarities to other series such as The Rebel Princess, The Long Ballad etc…
Based on the rating and the comments here, I thought it was a must-see drama I'd already seen 14 episodes and…
Lol. It was the same for me but you need to get to about episode 20… it was good coz it allowed me to drop it after like 2-3 episodes and I binge watched it after it ended. If otherwise I would have felt super tormented because I would have to wait….
