Me too… I’d take it as sincerity (subconscious, genuine, desperation) if someone acts completely different from their usual self… so for me this bit was disappointing in the drama…. Coz I felt HBY was still him……….. so the forgiveness happened by chance/fate which was so totally unsatisfying after a 5-year wait… 😠
So to answer your question I’d probably give in if over time the other person does many things which is out of the ordinary for him/her….. sincerity, persistency, consistency…. Like the thing that annoyed me the most was HBY was too comfortable… he just went to war continuously, but he always went to war even prior to meeting ZSS…. I honestly don’t feel any sincerity, like he doesn’t genuinely want it… but perhaps he had a point when he said he dared not ask for forgiveness… which also translates to he basically did “nothing”…….. 🤣😅 I’m mean. 😝

I thought I was watching cartoons!! 😳 what a joke… I’ve never watched a drama before whereby it is so blatantly obvious that something was awry. I totally forgot about it when I rewatched and I actually got mad again… 🤣🤣🤣 felt like I got conned and robbed.
Zhao Lu Si can really cry… I came to that conclusion recently by chance because I rewatched Who Rules the World…
Eh but she must be quite a talented/professional actress coz she didn’t annoy me… and I could differentiate all her different type of cries. I surprisingly cried with her when the boy died….. Shitz… that was so sad…. 😔

I remembered there was something that happened at the end and the storyline was legit very saddening so Yang Yang cried and……. I just didn’t find it sad and honestly his acting wasn’t bad just Zhao LuSi is too amazing in crying scenes…. 🤣

In the sense forgiveness, if it was ever going to happen, would have came immediately to a person when facing life-and-death situations…. Like you will never ever see this person anymore in this lifetime….
