Ok give me 3 distinct, and powerful reasons why this show is worth watching and not like other dramas I’ve seen…
1. The main leads have a lot more screen time tog compared to other dramas in this genre… 2. I think the heart-wrenching moments are at its maximum….. I defo felt a lot more twists and knots along with emotional roller coasters versus other C-dramas in this genre. Like beats The Long Ballad for sure…. Different from NiF. I actually found NiF too monotonous although the revenge plan was brilliant… NiF is basically just about Mei Chang Su, they should have renamed the series to MeiChangSu. 3. I’m not entirely sure which genre you’ve had in mind but I found this series to be quite balanced…. It defo has romance as it’s main theme…. But it is a very balanced series with more than just the ML or FL… There are lotsa sub-themes and notable supporting characters…. And the most surprising thing is…. This series is actually quite comedic…. It’s got many skits that are seriously super funny…
Not even kidding, I literally became anxious when I saw there was only slightly more than a minute left to the drama and the ML was no where in sight…. Then he appeared and the drama ended with a blink of an eye…….. and I was left with this expression….. 😳
I really wanted to come back to Immortal Samsara and LLTG but I caaaan', I caaan't! there are reasons why I stopped…
IS just turned out so disappointing. I just dropped it after the first arc…. Like it literally just fell flat after the whole emotional heart wrenching arc they put us through…. 🙄
lol. I randomly came across one of her fashion shoots with Charles Lin, looks like it was for a mag… she’s actually very attractive with normal hair. Like she looks good in modern attire. Poor her, they gave her like some odd hairstyle here… I guess it’s to suit her odd character/personality for her role… 🤣

I just completed NiF and I was left with depression, slight annoyance and loadsa angst. Lol. I gave it a 8.5 though… as much as the revenge plot was brilliant it was so monotonous and off-balance… they shouldn’t have called it NiF… should have called it Mei Chang Su.
Yea, I think it’s coz SSS was significantly shorter than JoL… so it kinda could do with maybe another 5 episodes or so to give it more fun by elaborating on the sub-plots. I’m surprised this didn’t garner many viewers though, only 6k+ viewers on MDL….
What a surprise of a gem - was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! And it was wonderfully executed.
Haha same! When I started watching this I thought it was going to be one of those like low-mid budget C-dramas…. They release so many of those every yr I.e Miss the Dragon (I totally dropped this), For Married Doctress, etc…
So I watched it without expectations… Geez, I ended up rating it a 9. The CGI here is top notch…. And the OSTs were amazing too….
Tbh the people saying that the ml was very reserved or they r were boring actually do not know the real story...to…
Yes exactly! I thought it was super unique actually… like if sucha person existed now I’m sure many girls will be swept of their feet. Chivalry is almost extinct 🤣 the family and his manor was also an eye-opener. I wondered if places like that still existed and if traditional Chinese families actually call for opera singers to their home….
Yea it is but even the novel is quite mellow unlike Untamed with explicit scenes in the novel… I personally find their chemistry off the charts better than the 2 leads in Untamed…. Perhaps due to them being more experienced/seasoned actors…

Ah… yea… make sense…. I do like tasks, missions etc… but yea, it has to be balanced…. I realised so many series are so off-balanced… ah… also now that you mention it, it’s the chemistry as well….. the chemistry totally disappeared once they got to the mortal realm…. Like the whole like unbreakable bond kinda thing. Like the way he looks at her and she looks at him etc…
