I get what you mean. Though I see why the author went that route. They would make a great couple if they both started out with blank sheet of the past. Can ZZ ever truly trust her knowing that she used him in the past? Knowing how vile she was in the past. People can change but there will always be that seed of doubt. Even if they were given the second chance, the relationship is already on rocky grounds. Plus she felt guilty given what happened to his mother while he was in prison.

It's very close to what was in the novel. I can't wait for that scene. In a way, I felt bad for XW. He had been lonely for all his life in the first lifetime and JXN never knew about his love her either. That must been hard on him. It's no wonder why he committed suicide. I'm glad that he will have a better life in this life time.

I think it's because she was always on guard whenever she's around him. I doubt it would ever cross her mind of that possibility at this point in time. Plus she already has two men that caused her enough trouble already. lol

No hope. FL was officially banned this summer. They gave her a chance to pay up when they issued the warning but she didn't. That's basically the nail in the coffin. IDK what she was thinking as she can easily make the money.

At this point in the drama, she does not know that he is also reincarnated. You have to understand that even if she does not choose XW, she will not end up with ZZ either. It's because both of them have memories of the past. They cannot get over things of the past or guilt she felt towards him. I think XW understands her best because they both went through traumatic events in their lives. They're both mentally unstable individuals. ZZ is like a first love. They viewed their love like a broken vase. You can piece it back together but there will still be cracks.

Yes, I can't stand the mom. Such a awful mother. How to expect a child to feel when every word you said to her are harsh things. She's so gentle to her sister and does the opposite towards JXN. Then she wonders why the child keep lashing out at her. Reminds me of how most Asian parents are the same way.

He's a great actor. I see alot of veteran actors on this show. The uncle used to be in many TVB shows that I loved. Also, the actor that played the Duke was also quite famous back in the day. I feel like I see him in every other drama I watched. Either playing the emperor or villain of some sorts. I hated him in Beauty of Resilience. lol

I was quite disappointed she spent her time on that drama. It's a light watch for sure but I felt like she could have pick better scripts given her fame. There isn't much to the story and I didn't really like how their characters were written. I like Dylan but his delivery there is not that great. I love Bai Lu but I dropped that drama. It really shouldn't be that long for such a simple storyline.

If you like something really light, then it might suit you. I guess I felt more disappointed because I was hoping Bai Lu would pick something that would showcase her skills.

I can't wait for tomorrow episodes based on the previews. Ning Er making a move on Zhang Zhe and he has no where to hide. Girl knows she's got the beauty and game. I doubt any man can resist her. I still ship her with XW though. I like their banter better. XW suppressed desires for her only made it even more fun. lol

He will have his character growth later. To go through such traumatic events in his childhood, it's understandable that he is the way he is. Actually, he's alot more human like in the drama. He's very caring towards JXN. I do think that he does fit well with JXN as she is quite messed up as well.

You should give him a chance at least. Given that he has only been in the industry for 3 years, he's making great progress. Even if Zhang Wan Yi played this role. It's fiction so all logic went out the window anyhow. Out of all the names you mentioned, I would only think that Liu Xue Yi would fit. He does have that aura and the acting skills. Unfortunately, he only started getting lead roles in recent years.

Rumors about Wu Lei is definitely not true as he announced recently that he willy only focus on his movie career in the next few years. A lot of actors who ventured out to movies tend to stay there. He may not ever come back to drama land.

He doesn't look young in this drama though. I would have think that Zhang Wan Yi looks even younger than him. ZLH height and stature does make him look more grand. It's fiction after all and it makes no sense that someone that young can rise to that kind of status. Given that they should all be around the same age.

I see your point and I do have those moments with this drama. Like I wish that the costumes could be better or the cinematography could have been better. Though every drama has its own flaws and this is not even an S level production. Even S level production like Lost You Forever had its own list of flaws. For the amount of money they had, I thought some of the graphic scenes were atrocious but I still loved it for what it was.

Xie Wei character was meant to be a psychopath so he's supposed to give off that vibe. It's not as evident in the drama but he had alot of blood on his hands in the past life. Something that the drama could have done better.

I can't see Jing Tian as Ning Er. She's a good actress but I couldn't see her in this role. Bai Lu worked fine for me as a messed up villain trying to redeem herself. I thought Bai Lu looked fine in Empress days. Even if you think she doesn't fit it, it's only snippets of it anyways. The whole story surrounds the current time line where she's just living out her teenage years trying to save her damn self from getting beheaded again. lol

I feel the same way. I know we are supposed to pretend like they look like they're teens but she just looks way older. Even Bai Lu doesn't look that young but she still looks youthful. I find the styling just aged the actress so much. She could very much passed as a young wife rather than young girl.
