I agree. I love Bai Lu but i heard TTEOM was a messed so I didn't watch it. Is it worth watching?

The thread of LYF was crazy here during the airing period. Literally if you refresh the page within five minutes, there would be a bunch of new comments and fan wars. lol It was hard to keep up with all the comments. I liked it very much but I think I enjoyed this series even more. I wish this was more S level production. They would gained more with better costumes and directing.

It's darker than most dramas but I like this new type of female characters. The ones that grow into a better person as everyone deserves second chances. The ML doesn't care for anyone and it's understandable as he seen blood since he was young. I guess you can call him a psycho. Though what his past made him the way he is and it's amazing that he has the will to live after going through that as a child. I like seeing how JXN changed in the current lifetime and she will become more likeable as time goes on. Also, i'm glad she's not a weak female character. She takes what fate gives her and do her best to help others.

It will be revealed later that he chose to die as his mother died while he was in prison. Plus he must have felt guilt and mourned for the loss of JXN so he chose to end his life.

Ning Er and XW are both messed up so they can understand each other. She even said it herself that she doesn't deserve someone as nice as ZZ. Plus ZZ can go on living without her but XW will choose to die if Ning Er leaves him. She didn't choose him for that reason because she did end up loving him. She just couldn't see ZZ as a lover as they both have memories of the past as he was reincarnated as well.

ZZ was reincarnated. He died not too long after Ning Er died. So they both have memories of the past so it made sense that the just can't see other as lovers in this lifetime.

I meant in MDL. It definitely doesn't have the heat that LYF generated in here. hehe

BTW, how is doing in China?

I am too before I watched the series. He's still hot as ever as ZZ but I find myself rooting for XW already. I find their bickering relationship more fun. Her relationship with ZZ was the more romantic/longing type, which I seen too many times already. lol

I'm surprised this series is not more popular. Sure the cinematography left alot to be desire but nothing is perfect. The story is not as dark as the description sounds and the actors really gave justice to the characters. I find alot of people are quite critical of ZLH. The guy is quite young and haven't been in the industry long but he was able to tackle many types of characters. Kudos to him!

I don't think XW will have it. lol he will probably allow Yan Lin since it's his cousin but will probably try to kill ZZ if he even go near Ning Er. lol

I can't wait. He's becoming so caring towards her. It'll be so good to see him realize his own feelings and his internal struggle. lol

I'm not sure how far you are in the episodes but it's insinuated that he's the cousin of Yan Lin. Also, that he may be the royal that was sent to be sacrifice for the prince during the 300 souls massacre. I skimmed through the novel in the middle so it may be wrong. hehe Alot of plot twists so look forward to it.

The present day arc was not in the original novel. They added in that part because of the government ban because too many dramas use the rebirth theme. Imagine the freedom the Chinese entertainment would have if not for all these stupid rules. It ruined a lot of dramas because the limit on episode count and so on. Enough about my rant. lol

Basically, they lived out both of the time lines in the novel.

The guy she traded her life with was the only guy whom I believed she loved dearly. I don't think she ever loved the XW as she did with the second male lead. They can never be together because they remembered their past and she felt guilty towards him. I think it's also in part that she always felt like she was never good enough for him as he is too good of a person. Part of the reason why she chose XW is because they're both messed up in a lot of ways and they can understand each other.

It's because the focus of this story is not just about romance. It's also more realistic as they will all grow up and will not be the same people. Even though she will love one person dearly, it doesn't mean that they can be together. Things that happened in their past will make it hard to for them to look at each other the same way. The drama is also XW's revenge path and becoming more human as time goes on.

I believe he loved her in both life times. At least that was what I got from skimming through the novel. XW is a psycho. He's really smart and but he does not know how to love someone. He even said to Ning Er at one point that even if he love someone, he will not let them know. At least in the second lifetime, he will able to express his love for her.

This is not one of those dramas where romance will happen instantly. It fits the storyline as both of them don't trust each other and she has many love lines. There is only one guy she really loved in the previous time line and that will take some time for her to get over.
