Its not that his acting is flat, his character is supposed to be emotionless, he is. King dragon after all, his personality suits him perfectly with his acting. What makes us attached to this drama is bcause of their romantic interactions between the ML and Fl and cant be achieved without both actors chemistry so both are equally carry the drama.

I will be here to support this drama, 5 days since I finished watching this drama, but refused to move on lol. I’m rewatching this drama again n again. I’m addicted to neo hu n zhao ye chemistry, so poisonous their chemistry on n off screen make my heart melt. ❤️

Wow, this drama is unexpectedly has become my favourite all time best drama I’ve ever watch, from the actress and actor ML and FL lead, their chemistry is fire burning to my heart everytimee I see them together. Perfect in everything, I have to come here to comment to help it gets higher rank bcauSe this drama deserves it!!!! Well done Neo Hu n Zhou Ye, you two are my best cp drama now!!

I agree with the bad editing and random interruptions here and there which is very annoying and it seems, those ppl who works on the editing fell asleep during the process n forgot to cut 2nd lead screen times or maybe they were drunk when they did it that they forgot who are actually the main leads.
However I would disagree with u regarding casting more mature actress for yu mei ren, xinxin is perfect for the role, though I agree she's doing it over too much sometime, but then she just told what to do n act accordingly, this drama genre is a comedy romance type of drama, if its serious type hell I would guess it would be boring for most of us bcause the theme of this drama is about botany and birds, not a generally interesting topic for us who dont understand anything about it. I started this drama with some clips on youtube, which is funny and seems interesting to watch. I completed the whole drama with skipping all the 2nd lead screen times also, at the very moment I thought its so unbearable to watch, cringey, lame, tacky with no chemistry at all with the 2nd leads, no point at all inserting their story line to the drama, imagine without they screen time, this drama would have complete in 15-18 episodes the most, and I would still love and enjoy this drama so much like now.
main lead chemistry is mind blowing, so cute, the micro subtle expressions on their face when looking at each other, binbin eyes gazing at yu mei ren, wow morever with a couple who both handsome and beautiful whasay, its a bonus! coz both have candy eyes.
i dont know also if I will recomend this drama to other, too much faults with the storyplot, bad editing, not everyone can like this drama, n I can understand why, though Ive been rewatching the main leads clips only n still not get enough of it.

Nope, its nothing like princess agent, FL is strong bcause of her strong character as a person with her wits to conquer all those who have wronged her and her loved ones, finally. the story plot is more like a biography of a woman since she was a little girl until she's grown up and has family of her own with many obstacles to stand in her way to get her happiness.

Omg, I also the same just finished this drama few minutes ago, n come here to rate it, agree with everything u said too, unlike princess agent, this one is way better n I dont regret for spending also around 6 days to complete the whole 73 episodes. Cheers ..

I’m also one of those chinese overseas ppl who prefer historical chinese drama than modern dramas. Why? I’ve been watching historical drama since I’m a little kid like the trilogy of condor heroes, handsome siblings when it was still in hongkong adaption, it gives me those excitement vibes from my childhood times. The production has been so much better, then the fighting, the action, the guys are way more manly especially when they know how to do kungfu fighting n great archery skills. The romance much more subtle n sophisticated then modern drama. They kinda restrain not to show over cringey romantic moments unlike modern dramas which I like, it gives exciting thrilling vibes feeling. Though some modern dramas have this impact on me too, so I occasionaly watch a really good reviewed modern chinese drama. The story are totally different too, many intrigues, smart strategy n tactics in historical dramas. In modern dramas its just basically CEO type kinda drama or some high school or family based story dramas which I have seen alottt in other dramas like korean, western drama. Nothing new n exciting anymore its just the same with modern dramas. So this is my personal reason for choosing historical/ period drama over modern drama.

I would feel deceived by you instead if I missed watching this drama bcause of your highly toxic negative comments. If u dont find it enjoyable and cant bear to continue just drop it simple as that. Its only 24 episodes which is so exageratting of u to say like you wasted half of your life by watching this drama….lol I watched drama with 66 episodes in total which I regret watching also, though that drama was so recommended by everyone and very popular, I didnt have the same kind of negative crazy reaction like u. It was my fault, for not dropping it earlier, no need to blame those countless of ppl who are every where recommending the overated drama.
For me this drama is a masterpiece and still the best drama of the year.
I think majority of the ppl who have watch this drama end up enjoying it as much as most of the rest of us.
So pls dont mislead others just bcause u are the only one who find it ultra boring and thus stopping other to try watching this wonderful masterpiece drama.

I dont think they are using body double for the kissing scenes… I’ve seen their bts kiss scenes , its obvious he did it himself though its only a peck on the lips lol….

Her love for him is soo selfless and soo sacrificing. When she told her mother, never dream more n wish more, just to be by his side forever is enough. He heard it and his expression when he heard it too, I broke my tears n couldnt control it. I sobbed hard! 😭😭

My thoughts exactly! Even both of them know it how they feel about each other without word of love spoken n we can feel it too, coz we felt heartbroken too by their love story. The more they love each other, the more suffering they are. This is painful to watch but yet so beautiful. This message is carrying through in both dramas. Message here is action speaks louder than words. No need to say when your action can already describe it. Yes I cant move forward too, trying to watch another drama, but I keep coming back to the clips in between my curently watching drama….. lol

What?? Lol, this drama is one of the best allen’s drama, not just bailu both of them have superb chemistry in this drama, even allen does a kiss scene in this drama which he usually doesnt do. He acts according to the script n his character in this drama is supposed to be like that. I didnt really like allen before but now he has officially become one of my fave actor! He’s an outstanding actor. His performance is top art quality level, he doesnt need to do kiss scenes for romantic scenes, he can conveys his emotion through his eyes n gaze alone. He’s a master of micro expression. Not many actors can do this.

Last episode 30, last scene, but technically they already registered their marriage earlier in ep 11…

I think u should try to continue to watch this, it will get better, main story starts at ep 23 onwards… Zhou sheng chen love for shiyi is progressive n slow, but he’s fallen in love with her more n more n getting stronger with each more episode… this is not everyone cup of tea I guess but if u are attached to the prequel, u will be patient enough to watch how their love story finally ends. Its a great love story unordinary kind…

Omg, I’m starting to watch another drama, my little happiness, but I cant move forward after ep 2 n come back to watch forever and ever instead, this drama really set the bar high for me, even higher rating drama couldnt help me move forward, meanwhile its still at 8.4. Really? I’ve been searching for another drama to watch, but I’m stuck n dont know what to watch still. I feel its enough to watch this for countless times already, but no I’m still coming back to watch this… what other dramas can beat this n help me move on? …

Meixing almost confessed to her in ep 23 I think…but shiyi cut it off by saying she knows already, n he replied by saying its already ended at his side.

I was initially like leo luo better than allen ren actually… so I did watch love is sweet cause it was so popular then n has high rating, true even with so many kiss scenes it didnt leave rewatch feeling for me, but forever and ever and one and only is, yes hopefully the rating can still going up since its still new released n not everyone has completed it yet.

I say u should or even must, I dare say u wont regret watching one and only, its a masterpiece. U wont get the same feeling as other who watch one and only first.. it would give u different vibes, emotionally touchy feeling when u watch forever and ever.
