this is enjoyable but there are some confusing moments because of the pacing i guess. like i for one have no idea what yeong woo promised yi bin when they were in the car and i don’t understand what happened between them in the past either

tbh i’m very used to this. even netflix and disney have imperfect translations. i realised for myself when watching emily in paris on netflix: the eng subs were a bit off from what the french was saying. so yea always take subs with a grain of salt even on paid sites and use context clues

i definitely recommend reading the CD translations there’s a few things that the drama skips that are quite interesting.

i wish ppl would give aoki a break about not openly dating ida. like i’m older and more experienced than aoki, and i still feel extremely nervous coming out to anyone. i had knot in my stomach coming out to an openly queer-friendly friend just the other day. so no aoki’s reactions aren’t strange, especially after his experience with that pos teacher assistant.

i don’t really care about ppl sharing their opinions or whatever but i do think it’s weird that no one batted an eye when jinwon punched sangha in the face in mr heart but we’re all freaking out over a small kick lmao. like obviously this show isn’t the pinnacle of healthy relationships but we have seen worse imo. there’s no homophobic tropes or romanticized sexual assault so far so i think it’s doing ok?

i do think we may be coming to the point where ppl’ feel like they can only consume “healthy” and completely unproblematic media and i think that’s an unrealistic (and boring) expectation tbh
