I actually agree that the op's criticism seemed unnecessarily mean. And I also think that actors are human and they also go online and probably see more than they should especially relating to themselves. It was the tomato tree bit that I had a problem with. You don't have to step into the dirt with the mud slingers and you never know someone's mindset especially online and how certain harsh words (even jokingly said) can affect them just like their criticism of the actor affected you into replying, so generally being thoughtful with words seems like a good idea.

There's never a reason to tell someone to kill themselves, even playfully and especially not over a drama or actor. Even if you think their criticism is wrong, wickedness is not the answer.
I knew a long time ago this drama is brilliant, however I forgot about it and only recently found it while scrolling…
I agree 💯 with you about the last episode. It threw me! Why would they end it that way?? It felt like the beginning of another saga or something. I would have been good with him gently traveling with his companions till he dies or even going to be with Nihuang for a bit. Dying off-screen after heavily giving advice 🤷 to aid the war was just not it to me.
Finally finished and it is genuinely an intelligently written story. I have to ask, why does China not make more of this types of stories? And where are the men that look like this anymore? No shade to the admittedly fine guys they have now but rarely do I see them look so manly anymore or even a bit rugged. I will probably write a review later because I have thoughts! But seriously, what was with that last episode??
I've only watched the first 10eps and I have to say I'm truly loving this. Sometimes a hyped or highly rated show doesn't live up, due to very high expectations placed on it, but this is transcending my expectations and knocking it out the park. I'm looking forward to new episodes and I feel like I'm on the edge of a non-stop drama binge 👀. I rarely ever do binges of that sort 😳. What is this intricate plot and level of acting!?!
I started it but then got into the anime which is so heartwarming and very pretty to look at and now I'm afraid to watch the live action and compare but I still might given a little time cos it looks homey and I like the storyline.
How about you? Did you enjoy it? Have you seen the anime?
Yes, I did find it! After a frustrating search, I had to type it into Google directly as 'the four brothers of the yuzuki family live action bilibili' and I got a hit though with indo subs but with more scrolling, I finally found it in English.
I really really dislike the trope of 'we were both knowingly intimate, fully understanding of the possible pros and cons of our choice but now that there is a baby, I'll be altruistic and save you any responsibility from it because... I'm a good person??'
It's illogical and except the father is a danger to the child, I don't subscribe to hiding the kid from him. If you want to have the child, Tell him. If he takes responsibility then that's good, people have to take responsibility for their actions everyday so why shouldn't he? And if he doesn't, nothing is lost, she still was raising the kid herself anyway so her choice just seemed selfish and ridiculous.
And who was even helped with her decision?? It's not like they had to get married and if he tried to force it and she really didn't want to then she could say no! Being a single mum didn't kill her as we all saw. And the kid was always going to grow up and want to know their dad so you were setting him up for a lifetime of guilt and a missed chance no matter what especially knowing his personality. And what would you tell the kid when she's grown and asks why she didn't have her dad, 'oh, he doesn't know anything about you because I didn't want to stress him with the responsibility of raising and loving you so here we are, aren't I great?'. It's far different from 'he knows and didn't want to be a part.' One painful but sensible, the other senseless and still painful.
I'm sorry for the rant but I just couldn't see the logic to Mizuki's thinking and it just kept irritating me.
On another note, I loved the kid actress Umi, she's amazing and I wish her the very best.

Are you able to watch this anywhere?

I'm in 16 now 😳

The uniform threw me off.

Thanks for asking.
It's really unfair for you to just say this because many haven't seen it and people like me haven't even started it and came to see how it was going.
Many people here are being considerate and avoiding leaving spoilers, please use the spoiler tag till the show is done airing at least 🙏
