Am at Ep 19 and so far this is one of the most well made Taiwan dramas I have seen.Characters you care about -even apart from the main ones- and one of the best Robot characters in a long time K.K
One of the best Kdrama experiences.Saw Go Hyun Jung for the first time here and became a fan.Seeing this show makes you realize how good Chun Jung Myung also could have been as the lead in Coffee Prince..
For me,I need the drama to hold my attention . All Kdramas ,except a few ,tend to drag in the middle and you can skip 1-2 eps and see if you still want to continue..
Yes, really unfortunate! The extension hurt the drama, IMO, and felt unnecessary given how they wrapped everything…
Totally agree.Viewers are left at the mercy of these writers who may be pushed by other factors also.Heck,I remember a show called princess Arora where the viewers actually petitioned the broadcasting network to stop repeated extensions when it was leaked that the writer was earning fat bonuses with each extension. In this show, looks like the Emperor had many fans and the writer (who was otherwise superb earlier in her makjang shows gave the boot to the main lead.Only way this can stop is if more shows get pre produced -will ensure better quality and also a better story experience.
This is unexpectedly fun and quirky. Not surprised to see this coming from the same writer as Chief Kim, many…
While he excelled in his previous serious roles (Really liked Bad guy and Shark),he always ended bu dying..Happy to see him doing comedies and excelling in them

I guess the reason was Ratings and a new theory that Kdramas do well when you either Kill or replace the main lead. Not my kind of Kdrama as it leaves you with a bad taste in the mouth at the end.
watched episode 10 and we're... we're slowly getting there!
Strange as this seems to be the slowest burn romance of all Lee Jong Suk dramas..Hope there is no realistic (Sad) ending thrown in ..Guess I have to wait till this ends to see it
guysss is this drama good? shall i start it? or is it slow etc...?
If not yet started, do try it.. I found it superb and the romance has an epic feel. Lee Jun Ki is fantastic in all his scenes Great ost and action as well.
This writer SHOULD NOT have been given a 26 (52 Half hour ep) eps drama. She works best in weekend shows where you actually get 52 hours to sort out everything .This ending will keep me away from the show forever
For information, The Last Empress' PD is the same one than 'Return' Go Hyun Jung (the main actress) walked away…
Thanks for bringing that up-that is another show I didn't touch after they ousted Go Hyun Jung.I also feel this could be driven more by the network. Both shows were on SBS and they seem to have figured ousting the main leads is a magic formula for ratings success.Choi Jin Hyuk seems to be a much nicer guy to have continued this way instead of walking out like Go Hyun Jung till now -maybe they promised they will end well and seeing he is now missing , it cannot end well,of course.
I am also not sure of this statement that he is unavailable to film the drama due to a fan meeting-there seems to be a lot of issues with him and the writer/PD -i last remembered this happening on Cheese in the trap where the main lead Park Hae jin suddenly started playing second fiddle to Seo Kang Joon, had very less scenes and lead to a very strange ending for an otherwise popular show..That was the case of the PD/TVN favoring the second lead.. This is why more shows should be pre produced .
