I highly recommend unchained love. FL doesn't act childish & make schemes with him. The only downside is that they deleted some intimate moments between them because the topic is taboo & censorship board won't allow something like this to be promoted (fake eunuch & emperor concubine love story)

It was mixture of his past failures & present/future all together to create this illusion. Because he liked lin an, illusion showed him that he will fail to get his love & eventually die achieving nothing. His early days (mom dying of illness & giving up his dream job to save money for his mom illness ) is all most likely real because in ep 1, we learned that he failed his exam so this was the answer to that. Later on he entered dafeng so all that love story & getting old is just an illusion to remind him again & again that he will fail at everything

I forgot to mention that he is not present in every ep because of his busy schedule so you can search for only whd eps if you don't want to watch other eps

I heard from some chinese netizens that they relate to XQA remembering only half of the poems because in china, they learn poems in school but don't remember them fully later on. In the drama, XQA has also learned these poems in his school but after coming to dafeng, he is using that knowledge to his advantage by plagiarizing these poems which are composed by famous authors of his previous world
Fun Fact: In ep 5 when he is telling poems to Xu Xinnian, he discard this poem "under the moonlight, baby i love you" because it sounds inappropriate for the era he is in. However this is also a joke for Dylan wang fans because this is lyrics of his famous song "Seaside tango" in real life

Wang hedi has a lot of haters so we see trolls ruining the comments section sometimes but if you scroll down a bit you will find some good reviews here too. I am glad you & your daughter enjoyed it. Nowadays, hate is what sells & not positivity so maybe that's why you see more often such stuff

Ep 21 was so heavy & sad. I honestly can't hate Sheng yi because i understand her pov & feel sympathetic towards her

He really exploded after LBFAD & now his popularity is going up & up. I recommend watching his variety shows like hello Saturday, Super idol & Wonderland when you are done with his drama. You will be obsessed & will truly learn his great personality

If you want drama recommendation, then Unchained Love & The Rational Life are both really good & underrated

This is male centric drama focusing on male's journey of exploring dafeng's world & making connections with different people. If you wanted romance then you should start a romcom & not this. Different people like different things. Many enjoyed it because it has so many genre (comedy, action, found family trope, mystery, etc) & we love all the cast. We didn't watch this for romance & were invested in the plot. There is no plotholes & only unanswered questions which we might get in s2 so if you don't like such stories then this was clearly not for you. But you don't need to question others who love this drama. For me, it's better than all the dramas that aired this year because it's unique & refreshing

Douban is filled with his haters & only around 150k people rated it out of million of watchers. They haven't even watched it but can rate it whatever they want & those initial ratings cannot even change which means if someone started liking or hating a drama later on, they can't change their rating. Wheres this drama is rated 9.1 on tencent app by 3.33 million people & the only way people can give this rating is after watching some of it on tencent so that rating has some credibility

Weifang husband is the type of person who pretends to be honorable & don't want others to dictate his life but he also oppress those who is weaker than him. At the end, he let her escape but he isn't any better than his family.
I am loving the dynamic & interactions of main lead. The dialogues are clever & engaging. Weifang is shaping up to be one of my favorite female characters in cdramaland

Watched first 3 eps today & damn i am already in love. Visually it is stunning & i am liking the slow tone of this drama. Yang zi's portrayal of weifang coming to terms with the reality is done so well. Also liking li xian playful personality. This is my first drama with both of them & i am impressed. Took me time to start this but i am glad i did

The thing is these things won't be done openly but everyone in C-ent knows that these big fan accounts are not just casual fans but professional fans who are paid to lead other fans and give them direction about how to create high engagement and what controversies to create etc. The case hasn't started so we don't know what proof whd's studio has collected against those fans but we do know that 2 of those big fans have linked to her studio and as i mentioned earlier one was even mentioned in her drama so people are rn questioning her involvement in all this. There is no direct proof against her otherwise she would have been sued & not just her fans but this has definitely ruined her image. C-ent is not like our international fandom who just casually watch dramas. Their fans are trained to collect data, make hotsesrches trend, degrade others work & much more toxicity & as a star, if you are acknowledging a fan in your drama who is bullying your previous costar then you are also part of the problem & not completely innocent
