You can go enjoy whatever you want & I'll rewatch my fav dramas. I have given replies here regarding the plot only to those who were respectful towards others. GOTD is the most viewed cdrama in China this year with over 2 billion views so clearly there are many who loves it. It's fine if you don't like it but I am not interested in proving myself to you about my favorite drama when you are making such foolish assumptions about others. I & other million of fans love it & that is enough for me

This is male centric drama focusing on male's journey of exploring dafeng's world & making connections with different people. If you wanted romance then you should start a romcom & not this. Different people like different things. Many enjoyed it because it has so many genre (comedy, action, found family trope, mystery, etc) & we love all the cast. We didn't watch this for romance & were invested in the plot. There is no plotholes & only unanswered questions which we might get in s2 so if you don't like such stories then this was clearly not for you. But you don't need to question others who love this drama. For me, it's better than all the dramas that aired this year because it's unique & refreshing

Douban is filled with his haters & only around 150k people rated it out of million of watchers. They haven't even watched it but can rate it whatever they want & those initial ratings cannot even change which means if someone started liking or hating a drama later on, they can't change their rating. Wheres this drama is rated 9.1 on tencent app by 3.33 million people & the only way people can give this rating is after watching some of it on tencent so that rating has some credibility

Weifang husband is the type of person who pretends to be honorable & don't want others to dictate his life but he also oppress those who is weaker than him. At the end, he let her escape but he isn't any better than his family.
I am loving the dynamic & interactions of main lead. The dialogues are clever & engaging. Weifang is shaping up to be one of my favorite female characters in cdramaland

Watched first 3 eps today & damn i am already in love. Visually it is stunning & i am liking the slow tone of this drama. Yang zi's portrayal of weifang coming to terms with the reality is done so well. Also liking li xian playful personality. This is my first drama with both of them & i am impressed. Took me time to start this but i am glad i did

The thing is these things won't be done openly but everyone in C-ent knows that these big fan accounts are not just casual fans but professional fans who are paid to lead other fans and give them direction about how to create high engagement and what controversies to create etc. The case hasn't started so we don't know what proof whd's studio has collected against those fans but we do know that 2 of those big fans have linked to her studio and as i mentioned earlier one was even mentioned in her drama so people are rn questioning her involvement in all this. There is no direct proof against her otherwise she would have been sued & not just her fans but this has definitely ruined her image. C-ent is not like our international fandom who just casually watch dramas. Their fans are trained to collect data, make hotsesrches trend, degrade others work & much more toxicity & as a star, if you are acknowledging a fan in your drama who is bullying your previous costar then you are also part of the problem & not completely innocent

I am not a novel reader so idk about actual villains but I do know that this novel has around 900 chaps and this season only covered around 300 chaps which is end of book 1/arc but the ending of that book is different from the ending of the drama. If you have watched post credit scene at the end then you can see there are hints of part 2 so they deviated a little from novel to give us cliffhanger ending & setup for S2. XQA was forgotten way later in the story for a short while in the novel but they changed that & included it at the end of this arc

Ehh Yunhe includes dafeng in 2025 list, Tencent incudes it in 2025 list & calls it their first 2025 explosive 30k HI drama so i don't agree with your last line but you do you. I am not interested in debating about this anymore. I don't think me saying anything will change anyone's mind because you have your own way but i just wanted to express my opinion

He has sued 5 YSX fan accounts on weibo out of which 2 are her big fans who has direct access to her studio & has also appeared in her dramas (meaning they are either close with her or she acknowledges them). This matter has quickly made it to top 1 hotsearch on weibo & xhs where every other fandom including ding yuxi fandom is thanking whd for suing her fans because they all suffered because of her toxic fans. Ever since LGIEF, whd name was dragged to hotsearch & they memed his character dfqc to promote her new drama. They all wish for him to d*e on his birthday, doxxed his phone number & cursed him, fantasizing about bl*wing up his family restaurant and many more toxic stuff. Not just him but they also were involved in slandering xu kai, bai lu & zls that's why everyone is with whd & cheering him for this decision. Timing of this also doesn't help her because her drama flopped hard & people were already exposing her for paying marketing accounts to praise her dramas & slander other dramas & now this happened which is resulting in her getting cancelled everywhere in China rn

There is a Twitter melon account who use your list to rank dramas & they didn't mention dafeng on both year list that's why i thought it wasn't included in both 2024 & 2025. Anyway i still don't agree with your logic but i respect you taking your time to be patient with me & replied honestly. Sorry if i was rude but that account told me it was you who didn't include it so i thought it was deliberate. The thing is you have posted these rankings of 2024 tencent heat index list on x but dafeng is not there because it didn't reach 30k on 2024 so reasonable to not include it there because it didn't happen yet but when 2025 ranking happens & we still don't see dafeng ranking on x then most will wonder where it is??
Putting it on 2024 now means nothing when most people have already seen your 2024 ranking list at the end of the year & now looking forward to 2025 list. Most will not go back to see if dafeng is added now. Plus, the fact i saw comments under your post asking that "what drama will be first one to reach 30k for tencent this year? " when it is a "fact" that dafeng reached 30k "THIS" year that's why your post feels misleading because many see & think no drama this year reached 30k heat index when that is false

Yeah I am not gonna debate on this further because this will go longer if i start providing all the data so I'll just answer your question: if a drama is mostly aired on 2024 then heat index will most likely be from that year too but even if it is not, i think putting it on 2024 list is not wrong because at the end of the day, it is 2024 drama which peaked at the end & reached 30k. With dafeng, our disagreement is mainly on that you consider it 2024 drama so let me ask you a rhetorical question: if a drama airs on 31 dec then you will consider it 2024 drama despite it airing almost all of it's episodes on 2025??
All of it's popularity, rating & metric is achieved on 2025 but we are fixated on putting it on previous year list because it started on 31 dec 2024 & doesn't matter if it was basically a jan 2025 drama because it aired few hours before new year. That's the logic you are using for gotd & it feels illogical. But since you have made up your mind then i am done explaining it to you why it is wrong to not rank it here

It is stupid to include it in 2024 because gotd broadcasting period was 53 days out of which it only aired on last 4 days of 2024 & 49 days it aired on 2025. It reached 30k on jan 11 but just because it started on dec 28th we are gonna ignore the fact that tencent itself consider it their first hit drama of 2025?? Yunhe list rank dafeng as their top 3 drama of 2025. Most of us completed this drama this year because it aired mostly this year. When you exclude a drama from all 2025 list but many audience & platforms in China consider it 2025 drama then it gives the impression that drama failed to achieve these goals because anyone checking this will expect dafeng to be here & if they don't find it, they think it didn't achieve it. Same with listing ratings of 2025 dramas on mdl but not mentioning gotd. I would have understand if more than half of the drama was broadcasted on 2024 but this feels trying to censor its achievements & giving wrong impression to audience. Our source of info should be based on facts & not personal opinions. I hope you understand what I am saying & maybe update this list because it is really unfair to exclude a drama from all these lists when it aired mostly this year

Why guardians of the dafeng is not here? It reached 30k heat index on Jan 11,2025. Tencent consider it their first explosive cdrama of this year & mdl didn't even include it??
