I still get choked up thinking about the scene where Mok Ha is singing the line "I'll be waiting for you" while plucking her guitar and crying, and Bo Geol is behind her listening. So close and yet still too far.

The drama downplays a lot of moments that really should be super epic based on the build up to them. But also, a lot of the time, the fact that they downplay some of the emotion makes it MORE effective, so it's a mixed bag there.

I mean, I consider this drama to be approaching perfection, but that is the one glaring flaw. Like.... the trauma from 15 years of isolation should have been the MAIN STORYLINE, with her singing career revolving around it. Instead, it's not even a storyline at all.

I like Lee Sang Yoon, but.... yeah, he doesn't DO anything here. I still look back on this and think about what a MASSIVE downgrade it was losing Kang Ha Neul and Nam Ji Hyun. We need those two to have a romance again now, 11 years later.

Yeah, your lens is definitely warping your viewpoint severely. But it's not like you can just take those lenses off. This drama definitely isn't for you, but for anyone else reading this, rest assured the character doesn't actually do any of this stuff and only does one stupid and hurtful thing for the entire run of the show.

Cunning Single Lady was one of my first dramas so I'll be there for LMJ doing that one all over again but with Kim Ji Suk instead.
