I find most modern chinese dramas too draggy for my tastes. They have too many episodes. 16 episodes is good like korean. Even better is Japan's dorama, they do not have fixed standard ep. It can varries from as little as 4 episodes to 12ish. Dorama are made to whatever episodes fit the story it's telling. Not have a fix episodes than build the story around it.
I totally get to justify big budgets wuxia or xinxia dramas, it's not possible to just do short episodes. But I think modern Cdrama should stick to shorter episodes, they dont have the cost to grandeur set.

We know LXY did returned to the sect. But after hearing how his so called friends, followers and the commoners feels about him, he decided to stay away. For the rest of the world, LXY was dead.
So when he resurfaces, and managed to fooled the tests. To those who knew him before, he was just a man who resemble LXY. And they believe it was just BYQ wishful thinking that LXY is still alive.

I like LYT, she's a good actress. Mostly for me, because she chooses to play strong characters in her dramas. I can't stand airhead FL, bubbly airhead. I dropped those kind of drama instantly.

I dont think it's a common practice in Cdrama. By the time a drama aired, it would be months if not years since production days. Cast have move on to other drama productions by then

Time heals. I had to take a break from watching cdramas after MLC ended. It's not fair for other dramas to watch, i keep comparing them to MLC. Nothing is even close to MLC in my eyes.
I only half heartedly start watching a new cdrama. Half heartedly because i keep thinking CY would have a different take of the character, no good fighting scenes, no comedic genius dialogues, etc etc.
Maybe a few more months before I can properly watch cdrama a new cdrama.

Oh I just realise, the CCTV posting maybe just referring to the alternate ending/extended scenes from IQIY. Not that they will air a different ending altogether.
I hope it's a different alternate ending. Altho, I am perfectly happy with the one we have from IQIY.

I am genuinely asking a question. Not that I think MLC is not worthy of another actresses or actors to watch. But they are ussualy have busy schedules and shooting at all hours. Maybe she's on a filming break?

For me, all ep with LXY sword dances. His tribute to his master are particularly moving and so much more than just a martial art scenes
And all eps with our dysfunctional trio are my fave.
