I really enjoyed drama but the female lead just get me so irritated it'll be so much better it would just focus…
I tend to get annoyed by her kind of characters a lot. The "best of the best" types that stick to their prejudices even when they actively acknowledge that the prejudice doesnt make sense with the facts they are presented with.

And come on. She supposedly has already exposed several corrupt cops and their operations before the events of this show. She knows that the case that was just solved was the result of a corrupt cop operation. She's willing to believe ML is corrupt cop. Is it really that bizarre to think that maybe the corrupt cops WEREN'T her brother's friends?

is it only me or anyone is suspicious of Prosecutor Cha as Gopuri? I think he is a prosecutor like FL brother…
I've been thinking it since the first time we saw him. He is presented to us as way too squeaky clean. Someone who goes through a lot of effort to keep FL's trust. Like he's keeping an eye on her. He's also way too interested in the Nam Joon developments. And seemed happy that FL wasn't going to sit down and talk with him.

Unless the burn scars are higher up or he's using prosthetic makeup to cover them up, I don't think he's Gopuri. BUT I've been playing with the idea that Gopuri isn't the top dog either. Such a big operation; a top dog would want as little chance of being caught or caught in the blowback as possible. Gopuri is probably just someone in on it all or for hire.

Oh! That might be it! I have a lot of his stuff on my PTW and they do look very similar.

Can anyone recommend me a cute and light student drama like Dear M?
Besides the ones others have listed:
I havent finished, but User Not Found strikes me as similar. And up until the final few episodes, Love Equations is really similar in a lot of ways (personalities, roommate dynamics, etc.).

If you're okay with BL, i recommend Light On Me. It has some similar tones and dynamics to this, with a prominent theme around first love. And Enchante has that whole secret/mystery identity and Friends To Lovers component.

Lee Jung Sik looks familiar, but i havent seen anything he played in. Is he well-known for something else? Or does he have a sibling or lookalike?

My friends, Hank and Aaron's characters were left open to interpretation. They were never named. They made references, sure - but so did ALL the other cameos (including Li Gong's actor himself) even when they had alternative names. So unless someone has a social media post or interview from someone on the crew or cast, stop going around saying it was confirmed.

Interesting. Like I heard characters and people refer to themselves as such, but I thought it was just one of those widespread exaggerations that we do here in the US sometimes. I didn't know that it's an actual way they view themselves. Thanks for the info.

Taiwanese BL finales are just a big crossover between themselves
And I'm not complaining. I love the crossovers, cameos, and sly references to each other.
For one, it excites fans and creates lots of fodder for imaginary scenarios.
It also feels like a way to pay homage to the shows and roles that came before.

Plotholes?
What was the point of establishing and making comments about Ze Shou’s habit of kissing Li Gong when drunk if nothing was going to come of it? It wasnt used as proof that Ze Shou had feelings. Ze Shou didnt remember any of it. Li Gong never brought it up after they got together, or even in the process. Not even a funny story on their wedding day.

Like did they not know another way to show that Li Gong developed romantic feelings?

Plotholes?
What was the point of the "can we wait" a few episodes back if they're going to treat it like it actually happened in the flashbacks?

Fu Li Gong seems MUCH more comfortable in the relationship now. It gives this episode a very different vibe than the episodes leading up to it.

Why does the description say middle age then? 27 isn't middle age. I figured they got that number from the manga.

Yea, I get that. I've crossed many a drama off my list for the same reason.

I think it really is going to come down to 2 things:
How old are both of them?
If he is in HS and the other one is significantly older, will there be a time jump and separation before they get together?

But usually they get an older actor for these roles. Or make them look older than he does in the trailer. So, I'm wondering if they're bringing his age down some in this adaptation.

The description tells me its probably an age gap of 20 years or more.
But based on the quote at the top, I also think there's going to be a time-jump in there somewhere.
