It could even be newbie cop dude. I still think that his placement being the same exact day as FL's transfer is too much of a coincidence. And I think it would be one of those twists no one sees coming.
Not unlike the Vicenzo villain reveal.
But yea, time will tell either way.
Perhaps the director is his brother or something? Afterall, the prosecutor does seem well off and well-connected.
I'm confused by your timetable...?
Here's what I got:
1.) ML gets sent to FL's dojo because she is pursuing street justice and her brother sent him. He seems to know that she is his friend's sister. He gives her a spiel about being an honorable police officer. She develops a puppy love crush. And if I am remembering the dialogue correctly, she knows that it was her brother who sent him.
2.) FL goes to give a note and lunchbox to ML in front of the station. When asked what she is doing there, she says she is visiting her brother. She then finds out he has a girlfriend and runs away dejected. She meets up with her brother and they walk the opposite way.
3.) FL arrested Mr. Choi.
4.) FL talks to her brother about the Mr Choi arrest and appears to be surprised her brother knows ML. She concocts a plan to appear good in front of ML.
5.) FL and ML have a near miss on the day of her brother's murder. Neither of them see each other.
6.) FL's mother tells ML that they are going abroad in order to distance themselves from this story.
7.) At some point after this, FL becomes Looney and starts stalking ML after he gets out of prison.
8.) ML runs into FL and doesn't recognize her. Mistakes her as someone in love with him.
9.) ML finds out FL is Looney.
10.) ML recognizes the FL is the girl from the dojo. But also appears to shrug it off and he doesnt show indication later that he knows/believes this. Even if he didn't know that the girl from the dojo was his friend's sister at the time of the dojo, by the time of this event, he would have seen enough pictures of young FL and his friend to put two and two together. So he knows dojo girl = friend's sister. He realized that dojo girl and hardheaded cop bear similarities. But he doesn't seem to think it's possible.
Now why weren't there more recent photos of the FL and her brother at the time of his death though? Why such a young photo? Did they not want people to know they are related? In order to be judged independently?
He doesn't know FL is the sister though because she has grown up and looks very different. Plus, she's supposed to be overseas right now (according to the flashback of him talking to their mother).
One, the cops were there 3 years ago almost immediately after the crime. And yet the prosecutor is squeaky clean. Too clean for someone who just committed arson and was in that giant scuffle with the ML.
Two, we see a suspicious person in nurse garb as FL is talking to that prosecutor. That same suspicious "nurse" is later in the same room as the prosecutor to administer that medicine. And we see that the cafe gang saw a look at the nurse's wrist and saw a scar. So unless he created some sort of scar prosthetic, he didn't arrange for someone else to kill him in the room.
Three, when the "nurse" ran off and everyone pursued, the prosecutor showed no indication of running. So he wouldn't have caught up with ML in the staircase to be Gopuri. And in that instance, when ML was pulling at his arm, any scar prosthetic would have been pulled off.
Four, in the epilogue flashback, ML is talking with the prosecutor dude, while a masked man with a scar on his arm is across the street watching them.
Prosecutor is not Gopuri. He's still probably involved though.
Perhaps, like Mr. Choi, he sees Gopuri as a savior of some sort?
