I'm hearing that the extended movie portion is only the first couple of episodes.

Well, they still need to come out to their families. There's also Ze Shou's commitment and abandonment issues. Li Gong still seems a bit uncomfortable with all the touchy-feeliness and affection. And being a friends-to-lovers couple, there's inherently an awkward stage of transition. They're also divorce lawyers - so they will also be learning about love and why it can fade throughout the series. They may even become disenchanted with love for a bit there.

Yea, me and a few others commented on the "can we wait" part further down below about why it makes a lot of sense with these characters and this context.

Most new studios tend to be cliche and trope heavy for their first project. Unfortunately.
Worldwide, there's this notion that successful past plots are safe bets.

I get the outrage, but this drama is premiering on the boyyent Youtube channel. And this is the first project from this studio.

To prevent such collateral damage on a new studio and these actors (who are either brand new or who have had multiple past troubles with their studios), the boycott should probably stay limited to Channel3's tv channel, youtube channel, etc.

Okay. Shazam came up with nothing. I checked the spotify playlists, but only a few people have done the Kiss franchise, and they only have the songs with lyrics. I listened anyways, hoping it was the non-lyric portions of one of them. No luck. I then went to the end credits. Only the 2 OST songs were named. They did have the names of the people on the [Sound Score] and [Sound Mixing and Production] teams. Couldn't find anything from any of them.

My 2 most likely theories right now:
1.) The sound/music team just whipped something together and since it was just a small piece, didn't bother to release it as an actual song.
2.) It was a royalty free sound they got off the internet.

It's pretty impossible to search royalty free music without lyrics.
But I shall try 2 other things tomorrow: searching other fan curated playlist sites and checking twitter. But I wouldn't get my hopes up. Sorry.

It is a great song though. Perhaps you can do some screen-capture magic and put that on a loop.

First episode is not good. I would say hold off on starting until we see more.

Currently the love interest is a child in a college senior's body (personality wise). The set-up is pretty old-school (2Moons meets SOTUS meets Kiss Me Again?). The main character is fairly decent, but nothing notable as of yet. There is one or two of the three side couples that seems like they might be interesting. But with the amount of time an enemies-to-lovers takes as well as the multitude of couples (and potentially a girls love or girl buddy storyline as well), i dont see them getting alot of screentime.

So yea, hold off for a little while and check in again.

I'm not seeing it. They're neighbors. There are sisters. And their friend groups are established as "enemies." That's about where the similarities end.

Bad Buddy isn't even an enemies-to-lovers. It's rivals-to-lovers.

Well the trailer makes it seem like the "pretend dating" would happen after the accidental kiss. Which is next episode based off the trailer.

But who's to say. That description seems to be from a fan account, and may be based off impressions from the trailer. The plot of this series has underwent several revisions since it was first proposed. And some of the scenes already appear quite different from the most recent official trailer.

And the translated "description" from the YouTube channel is more of a Episode 1 synopsis than a series description:

Beyond Jin and they are confused whether the other person's feelings are true or fake. but secretly reserve love from afar But this secret feeling is not just the couple of clouds and the great Kim. Because the gang of friends on both sides still have a lot of secret feelings! Whether "Bomb" (played by Yut-Krisadayuth) who secretly likes and is a big fan of "Bear" (played by Sean-Francis), but hides not wanting Bear to know "Park" ( played by Beau Sittikarn) and "Lee" (played by Daniel-Cheng Yoo Chang), a couple who secretly dated for 7 years, but refused to launch the final "Tim" (played by Bo T-Yongyuth) and "Mai" (played by Kenji-Siwarut), close friends who used to think dishonest and had to keep their feelings from the other party. In what direction will the various secret feelings end? How will Cloud and Kim manage their feelings for each other? And will the duo's content lead to a real couple or not?

Nope. Same faces. And the names match those in the credits.

I think the IDEA behind Mayom taking Teng's phone is to show that Mayom was not only willing to announce their relationship, right off the bat, with his friends - but also to the world. But like with all public announcements/declarations, I think this was a conversation that Mayom should have had first. But then again, perhaps he knew Teng would think things like "he's just asking to please me. He doesn't actually want to. Who would?" etc etc - which IS very much in-character for him. And Mayom is an impulsive guy (even though he is considerate), so it's not too far out-of-character in my mind.

But wow, it hurt when Teng thought Mayom wanted it to snoop and said "it doesnt matter, I dont have anything to hide." That poor baby has a lot of mental conditioning from Tan he needs to undo.

It's mainly MDL that appears to be critical of him. Tiktok is having a field day with his scenes. It's beyond entertaining to see the contrast. XD

100% on everything here. Aggressiveness/forwardness can be really hot. Force is not. And a lot of fans (and writers ngl) conflate the 2.

Dont Say No is an excellent example of this. The second couple made that show. As someone who has had a stalker of many years, I never read him as being stalkerish (but with just slight alterations, he could have been). And I am utterly confident that if Pob had solidly rejected him (and not just his advances) or hadn't developed feelings - then Leon would have backed off.

The second couple in SCOY (I literally only watched for the 2 support couples) exhibit a rather similar story and set-up of testing the waters. Especially when we consider the entire week off-screen that Jao and Sky spent together and observed each other before Sky became more forward. I also liked how we can visibly see the shift between Jao's actual "no, I don't want this" to a flirtatious/teasing no.

"Hail To The Lovers" by Lazer Owl ft. Anthony Lazaro

Amber has one of the intersex conditions. It is unclear which one. But as such, it is not at all uncommon for them to miss that he was male - resulting in them believing and treating him as a girl. This mightve been because his male organs were harder to spot. Perhaps that check-up noticed the organs starting to become bigger? Or they noticed via a blood test that found Y chromosomes. There's a number of possibilities. And for sure, there is a lot about his story that could and should be told - and that could make for a decent storyline.

But I don't really mind that they didn't spend a lot of time on it in this project- because it put the focus on him, his character, and his romance. Being intersex didn't define him, it was just a source of insecurity. His being intersex wasn't the focus of the story, instead the fact that he found people that were accepting. Accepting that he is in love with a guy.. Accepting that he is intersex. Accepting that he was raised as a girl, known as a girl, and even loved as a girl. And finally, accepting that he is NOT that girl anymore, accepting that he IS Amber. And loved for that fact.

Im glad that the bulk of the melodrama was towards the middle, not the end. Doing it all at the end tends to spoil or make the ending feel rushed in my opinion.
