Cafe scene was HILARIOUS! I laughed so hard. 🤣🤣🤣🤣I did find Prince taking off Mikey's shirt a bit…
I was very pleasantly surprised when it was revealed that Bobby is a drag queen - I hadn't seen that in an Asian BL before.
And agreed - taking Mikey's shirt off was very odd. Like if he was worried about his breathing, just undo the top couple buttons. The whole scene, and the shower scene, were just very out of place.
Fair perspective. I haven't finished this show yet - so I might very well wind up agreeing with you. But I have heard that the webnovel this is based on is BL. And that many other viewers saw plenty of BL moments throughout the series up until the end.
And this could've been finishing up filming/production right when the censorship guidelines went into place (which could also explain why everyone thought the end felt rushed and out-of-place). Meanwhile, Word of Honor, Guardian, and Untamed had time to write that ambiguity into place. But that's just a theory - like I said, I haven't finished it yet.
I know this is an old comment, but i figured i should address it for future viewers of this comment section. This show is from mainland china. So it’s not so much queerbaiting, as it is censorship. There is a difference. Many mainland chinese bromances are adapted from BL novels and do the best they can to portray the relationship while abiding by censorship guidelines. If you were expecting any intimacy or an ending where they end up/are shown together (it’s why Word of Honor’s released but unaired special ending was so important), those go against the guidelines. The way to get China to allow queer romance on tv again, is to get rid of the stigma - and support of censored stories like this is part of it.
The comment section is most definitely not just for spoilers. Scroll a little bit on any drama and you will see potential viewers asking questions as well as fans sharing fun facts/behind the scenes/tips for streaming/general emotions. So yes, if this was a spoiler, it should have had a spoiler tag - that way scrollers have the option to view or not.
However, I am not gonna lie - there are people who go overboard and request spoiler tags on things that are not plot points or significant - and therefore would not count as spoilers.
The boxing match is what Lady Q wants to see (so not a spoiler). And the whole Thanu mess was well established in the first season and in the season 2 trailer - so also, not a spoiler.
I'm not going to bring up everything else because it's been talked about, but what the fu*k is Sandee's problem?…
For real, And Sandee has no sense of collateral damage. Wayu is over here thinking Phai is doing this mess. In the first season I thought Sandee liked Phai, but because of his actions and the whole soulmate talk thing - I think maybe he feels he owes Phai something? Or maybe he feels jilted by his own soulmate and doesn't want Phai to go through the same thing?
As for the turn around time, it's not uncommon for Asian shows to film only a few episodes ahead of airing. 1.) To see about changes in funding based on popularity (but i don't think that's the case for this series); and 2.) to adjust certain plot points in accordance to audience reactions (especially surrounding potentially problematic or controversial subjects; or around pairings that the writers aren't sure on - I remember a poll that went out shortly after ss1 ended asking fans who they thought Wayu should end up with in ssn 2 with a response about "being heard" or something like that - it made me so angry).
For real. I have spent an insane amount of time looking at Taiwan news sites, Choco Media, Line TV Taiwan, and…
Yea I went on the hunt after TikTok as well. It seems people forget MDL is fan-contributed. Just like wiki (except wiki tends to imbed sources). In fact there was someone who did a video on how easy it is to get changes approved.
The director of the series, P'Nuchy has addressed the GoT7 issue. The series is completely different, the plot…
I also don't quite get the concern. I've been reading various fanfictions for YEARS. Very rarely do any of them seem to stay true to their inspiration. Like they'll take a few details here or there, but then just go wherever they want with it. Some even appear to use the inspiration name purely to get views.
So it's likely that when it was just a fanfic, it might not have stayed true to the personalities or image of the inspiration. Even if it did, a lot gets reworked when getting published to make it different (Shadowhunters and 50 Shades of Grey come to mind as Western examples). Plus, people were saying from the first episode just how different it was to the novel.
But i respect P'Nuchie's prompt addressing of this matter and concern for the points being brought up.
okey once and for all; No, this is not true one of the producers for the history series said before history 4…
For real. I have spent an insane amount of time looking at Taiwan news sites, Choco Media, Line TV Taiwan, and HIStory official socials, as well as searching for info from the production team. This looks like a prank. Which is upsetting because it shows that the MDL mediators don't actually look at the sources that they request when making changes.

And fr, the amount of love Bad Buddy is getting - even while still airing - is absolutely amazing. And it deserves it - it's a masterpiece.
I did not know that tidbit. I wonder why they thought it was necessary? It's well established he likes to go to the gym. Hmmm.
However, I am not gonna lie - there are people who go overboard and request spoiler tags on things that are not plot points or significant - and therefore would not count as spoilers.
