I could definitely see that as a possibility - except they weren't calling him White. The subtitles are from a voice-overlay from their dad talking to White while he was collapsing. And the sounds made during the chase sound different to how everyone is pronouncing White and might very well have been sounds of frustration or something meaning "you there stop" - because i've heard that sound in other shows.

But it's definitely a plausible theory that Black's assault had to deal with White and politics - especially considering the timing of it all.

Not a kdrama, but im really fond of Love Cuisine. There’s also the BLs Ingredients and My Sweet Dear that are really sweet.

Or like how Shadowhunters was a self-insert Draco fanfiction.

People have always took inspiration from a variety of places. Fanfiction just makes it obvious. As long as they dont use their names or brand - it shouldnt matter.

Also, if Black always had it in his mind to have White come in if things go south, he wouldve kept some record for White to go off of. Twins know what all goes into successfully pulling off a swap.

There’s nothing they can do. Its not legally wrong as long as they dont use their names or brand etc. The book is published. And there’s a number of series (especially BLs) based on kpop fanfiction (Nitiman comes to mind).

I can buy it. If you base a fandom ship and chemistry on an existing relationship, it stands to reason that if a problem occurs in the irl relationship, it will trickle into the performance and the work dynamic. The reverse as well (where the actors get in a relationship during filming and it trickles into their performance). We see it all the time, and its a reason most major studios will only hire couples if they have been in a long-term stable relationship - it decreases the risk. And why celebrities will often wait until after their projects together to make public announcements about them being in an actual relationship.

While she is very passive - she's made it obvious that she doesn't want to be in a relationship with him. She is passive because she wonders if she was overreacting when she divorced him. Because here she is getting attacked on multiple sides by claims that he loves her, he cares for her, he knows her well, he paid attention, etc. So she is feeling doubt, and guilt. And her mother is not helping matters in the least (which I don't think anyone likes. Even up to the end). But she's pretty firm about not wanting to return.

And as Kunaga Kishi says - HE kissed HER. It was not in any way mutual. Also, he does not stick around NEARLY as long as annoying exes and rivals in other dramas. He's not using some grand manipulation plot (besides his narcissism). So yes - i would consider it bearable. Especially when compared to the girl from earlier in the season.

It definitely is concerning - but I think it was kind of hinted at in UWMA with Team's severe insomnia and that talk he had with Win. Felt like there was something there.

Viki is the official release for most countries (some other countries may have other platforms, but I don't know what they are)- so most streaming services take it from viki. It lags because the subtitles team is short staffed and consists of volunteers. Please be patient with them.

I know some people are getting information on the day from highlights/scenes that they post on Youtube. As well as some scenes that are fan subtitled. But they are scenes, as watching the episode for complete context, translating, time stamping, proofreading, and publishing all take a lot of time - and will naturally lag quite a few days behind the native/official release.

I watched ep 10 on Dramacool. I believe all subs were there (at least on one of the hosted servers anyway), or at the very least enough to have a full grasp of what's going on.

So the couples are as follows:
- The gay man and bisexual womanizer couple (as you seem to be aware). Cons, seem to be way into self-sacrificing.
- A corporate career woman and farmer man couple/ income difference couple. Cons, a bit image focused.
- A divorced career woman and childhood best friend/ age gap couple. Cons, love triangles and communication.

We also have:
- outspoken jilted lesbian best friend
- outspoken free spirit against settling down (best friend to mc woman, and very relevant to the BL couple)

So there are so many important plots and messages going on and they have some important overlaps that are missing in the cuts.

Theyre one of the healthiest couples out there, and the writers developed them out really well (unlike several other series with BL side couples). They get more screentime as the series goes on.
I personally would recommend watching the whole thing (not just the cuts), or at least giving it a try. Each couple has their own dynamic, story, and message. Plus, the cuts are often missing situational scenes that are providing context and/or personality to the BL couple characters.
Some people on this platform seem to love on the straight couples (and they can be aggravating at times), but they're actually pretty cute. Especially the other side couple.

Admittedly, I haven't gotten to IPYTM yet - but from what I know about the show Siew Sum Noi might be up your alley.

Try to support on Viki if its in your area - that way the production team knows there's support. Most shows you should be able to watch free with ads even without a subscription.

Prolonged food advert... I can see it. Maybe that would help me moving forward. I actually haven't finished Ingredients, but haven't felt that anxiety with it yet due to how short the episodes are.

Lol, they do all seem to do a lot of staring and slow talking - but I don't blame the actors at all. Their body language is all pretty strong.

Yes, I would love it to be this fluffy the whole show through. But all stories need rising and falling action, and since this does not appear to be sitcom-like/episodic in nature, the show needs a larger rising and falling action - especially with 12 episodes. But all of the problems/dilemmas that could have been that big over-arching plot are getting resolved really quickly. It makes me worried for how bad that the overarching conflict may be.

I hope i'm wrong, but every time a potentially major conflict (not as in an argument, but a plot conflict) gets resolved within the same episode, it makes me increasingly more worried.

I could also just be being paranoid from watching so many complex dramas. So *fingers crossed*

Is anyone else constantly waiting for an axe to fall? I love the fluffiness of the show, but I feel like they get over conflicts and dilemmas super easily and quickly. Anyone else?
