You make an excellent point. Respect for Newton isn't just praising her ability, but also respecting her decision to leave the project. And I really hope fans can respect that and appreciate the performance Aom will bring to the project.
The initial period before production will probably be the most rocky, as fans adjust and critique the change. But once we get further into production and even airing, many fans won't even know Newton was the original cast or what her performance in the role looked like.
